#8 of 27 hotels in Boca Raton
Travelers' Choice
The Boca Raton, amidst 200 lake and oceanfront acres, originally opened in 1926 as The Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn. Today, The Boca Raton is semi-private and provides year-round escape exclusively for its club members and overnight resort guests (the property is not open to the general public). Five distinct hotels include Beach Club, Bungalows, Cloister, Tower and Yacht Club. Amenities include a private golden beach, 40,000 square foot Spa Palmera, 18-hole golf course, 32-slip marina, Racquet Club with 16 tennis courts and four pickleball courts, retail boutiques, two pool clubs, children’s and teen’s club, two fitness centers, and wellness collaborations, including Orangetheory and Hydrow. Guests may choose from a curated selection of one-of-a-kind extraordinary experiences, available Only at The Boca Raton. Excursions range from a supercar racing adventure to a curated shopping day with a personal stylist, or an afternoon on a private boat with snorkeling and live entertainment. The Boca Raton is undergoing the most significant evolution in its history. In winter 2021/2022, Harborside Pool Club will be unveiled. The four-acre lakefront destination will feature luxury cabanas, four pools, a 450-foot lazy river, two three-story high slides, and much more. The Boca Raton’s culinary program showcases a world of flavor including multiple collaborations with Major Food Group (MFG). The first of these signature restaurants is a take on the mid-century American chophouse, The Flamingo Grill. Forthcoming signature dining in partnership with MFG includes Sadelle's, the perennially packed brunch institution with New York and Las Vegas locations, and new concepts exploring Japanese and Italian cuisine. For a taste of the Mediterranean at Beach Club, Marisol and the lounge were recently unveiled, curated by lifestyle guru Colin Cowie.

The resort is beautiful but the room was terrible. We had no shower head, the phone didn’t work, the scale was broken, and the light in the bathroom didn’t turn in. Besides that it’s paradise. Staff needs to do a much better job check the rooms.

I admit I was worried about the change of ownership of this property. It could have been disastrous. When we visited last time we had a most remarkable stay. The renovations and updates wind on but this grand property is poised for a bold new era. Everything here has been great. The staff particularly are on a mission of excellence. We tend to dodge the in-house restaurants in favor of what we can find in the community. However, Marisol is, in a word, excellent. We keep going back and every visit has been fantastic. The renovations continue to unfold but we have nothing but good to say at this point. Some suggestions? Get more info out online about the new era on its way. See if online review sites can give the property a new start with its own brand new review section. This is a relaunch and the property deserves its own place for reviews. (Also, I suppose it is good to use up the old Waldorf supplies that came with the property but that era is done. Time for the new brand. AND how about some new resort “merch”? ) Finally, what you hope to symbolize to your guests is perhaps your biggest challenge. It is certainly as important as any upgrade, renovation, or new addition. Hint: Look no further than the great service your staff is already providing.

This place is exactly as described. I don't think you can find a better experience to truly have a luxury vacation. The customer service was impeccable from every single staff member from the waitress to front desk to the beach staff - everyone single person here is trying to make sure you don't lift a finger and have everything you need and have the best experience possible. The food at every restaurant was amazing. Drink lists amazing. The spa was beautiful and an experience in itself. The oceanfront rooms are truly oceanfront but they do have the pools and the plant barrier between the room balcony and the ocean but this is very typical for the area. We had it narrowed down to stay here or the Breakers and this location is definitely better view and beach area as we visited both. The beach service is great and can order drinks and food from 11am-5pm. The property is at the end of the beach and has a canal on one side so not much walking traffic on the beach. Very family friendly mostly families and couples. Not a late night party scene and very quiet at night which is what we wanted. But does have a great lobby bar/dinner/entertainment area every night that was great! The breakfast is at the Marisol (also has lunch and dinner) and great view of the ocean and the beach club area food is great with a balcony view of the ocean that has lunch and dinner so you have a great ocean view for every meal if you want and this is very rare in this area. If you are looking for a trip to not need to leave the resort and experience the highest level of service, amenities, food, and ocean you have found your place!

Wonderful two night stay at this beachside resort. Our stay spanned the final night of the hotel flying the Waldorf Astoria flag, so it’s unfortunate that it won’t be a Hilton property anymore. Purchases are somewhat expensive, but it’s to be expected at a resort like this. Beautiful beach views and well appointed rooms. Staff is great. Beach attendants are top notch, especially Thomas and Evan, who were very attentive and personable. Guest satisfaction is clearly a priority for this team.

Stayed at the bungalows and it was the best! Perfect for our family. The entire staff was so nice and went out of their way to make our stay the best. 2 bedrooms with kitchen and private pool. Can’t wait to go back.
