Margarita and her incredible staff made our stay at the Palmetto house absolutely perfect. She went above and beyond... going out of her way to exceed our greatest expectations. Locked in our decision to return next year!! Truly one of our best✨
Stayed here for the weekend. It was in the center of the Island, in the town with everything walking distance. Alot of things were closed and not running at 100% due to the Covid. BE AWARE that everything closes early (8pm). As Far as the Inn goes our room had everything you need for a getaway. We got Bikes and a grill. I'll be back !
Check-in is miles away. It's not really an Inn at all, just a house with rooms. The description on TripAdvisor talks about a gift shop and restaurant, but we didn't see either one. The bathroom for the room we stayed in (#6) requires going outside the room and down the public hall and has a door that is very difficult and loud to open or close because it is jammed. The soap dispenser in the bathroom did not work. The kitchenette has an exception to "sanitization" code and an air-conditioner needed service (see photos.) Their greeting letter states, "We take great pride in providing our guests with the utmost professionalism and personalized service." Huh? On the positive side, it is clean. If you're looking for an "Inn," you're going to be disappointed. No on-site check-in, no on-site services or staff. But, if you're a college student looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Boca near the shops and restaurants, this would work.…
Total nightmare - the guy at the front desk gave us the WRONG key code to our room, left before office hours were over, and wouldn't answer the phone. We checked in at 9:30pm (office closes at 10pm) and the guy working the front desk of the Boca Grande resort told us that our room was at the palmetto inn (about 3 miles down the road). He gave us a key code to enter the palmetto inn and said that we should call him if we have any trouble. When we got to the palmetto inn we were unable to enter the building because he gave us the wrong key code so we tried calling him and he didn't pick up. We rushed 3 miles back to the office to get there before it closed at 10pm. When we arrived at 9:55pm it was closed, dark, and no one was there. The front desk guy decided to leave his shift early, and couldn't wait ten minutes to ensure that we got into our room safely. Thankfully there was an emergency number posted on the office door so we called that a few times before someone finally picked up. The front desk guy came back and offered to meet us at the palmetto inn so that he could enter the correct key code and let us into the building. He told us that he forgot that they changed the key code recently. How embarrassing! Terrible experience.…
Clean, inexpensive and fits the need, one block from restaurants and shopping, shared bathroom for our particular room is a bit funky but works fine , would do again in a heartbeat , don’t be afraid, just do it
The Palmetto Inn is in the middle of the little downtown. The restaurants, the grocery store are few steps away. We have occupied the gigantic apartment at the first floor. The space is huge even everything looks pretty old. Very good starting point for the exploration of the island.
You can bike to anything you like on the island. Walking around town is fun. The kitchen is nice but make sure you have forks. Some utensils are lacking but it is nice to have a kitchen. The grocery store is right down the street. Thee is a publics grocery just before you get on the island. Stop before you get on island. Also get gas. Yes get the key before you drive to town. The place to get it is just on the left as you cross the bridge.
Where do I start?! From my first call to Margarita and Jeremy to reserve our one night stay on Christmas Day, to our amazing experience, everything was top-notch! The house was clean, roomy, and Margarita went over and above to accommodate us. I give this amazing Inn nestled within a cute, little town my highest recommendation.
The five stars are for this staff first and foremost. We travel Florida a lot and stay at various beaches but we have never been accommodated like we were on this trip. The staff at Boca Grande Resort/Palmetto Inn went out of their way to insure that we had everything we needed from Bicycles to beach towels to never being rushed out of the Inn on our way out. If there is a better staff then I cannot wait to discover them. The Inn was roomy and the prices more than affordable. The best extended weekend vacation I have had in quite some time and I owe it all to that staff.
This is an amazing get-away place in the heart of Boca Grande. Location is great and you do not need a car or golf cart to get around (although i do recommend renting a gold cart for a day to explore the island). You can walk to great restaurants such as Pink Elephant and the beach from this place. Also, it is very clean and nice inside. Love it. Will be back!
