Here ist the story of how we ended up at the INN on the GULF and just loved it: Well, we had booked a scalloping charter out of Hernando Beach to leave at sunrise and decided to spend the night before close by: The Inn on the Gulf seemed to be a "liked" destination and I can tell you: the... More

Some things you need to remember if you are expecting a full kitchen. There is a separate bedroom with two queen beds, nice closet, nice bathroom. The living room, dining room and kitchen area are adequate. The only thing missing is a stove. Though I know when you visit a motel you usually get a small refrigerator and microwave but... More

small, 20 unit, motel on the beach, well the Gulf of Mexico, no beach here. The room included a bedroom and living room with kitchenette. We had the end room which included a table and 8 chairs outside, perfect to see the playground across the one way road and the Gulf of Mexico. We came to see the sunset. The... More

Loved the room, location, view and restaurant / bar. Only thing that would have made the hospitality extraordinary would have been if they would have refunded one day as a courtesy. I had to leave a day early due to a car accident in was in.

While in the St. Pete area I would strongly recommend stopping in this restaurant if you're looking for some good seafood and good service. While there I would also recommend walking across the parking lot and checking out Sam's beachfront bar has live music a great place to watch the sunset.

As we stood, watching the sunset on Hudson Beach and waited (45 minutes plus) for our table at Sam's Beach Bar, I looked around and saw the sign at the Inn on the Gulf: "Live Main Lobster". We had come to Sam's specifically because an out of town guest was looking for seafood but the wait at Sam's was CRAZY... More

Charming restaurant to sit outside and see the Gulf! Food delicious and they are famous for fish and chips which was grouper and fabulous! French fries were great and so was the garlic shrimp scampi and Manhattan clam chowder! Definitely will go back!

This place has one of the best shrimp cocktails around. The shrimp Bloody Mary is one of my favorites. Seafood is always fresh and delicious. We enjoy sitting out side in the front nice view of the gulf. Staff is always very friendly and patience.

Did not want to make the trek down to Clearwater so we tried this place. This place may not be a tourist hotspot but for this immediate area that cannot be expected. The only issue was some noise but it wasn't unbearable. The rooms were clean with firm beds, the restaurant food was good, and the staff was pleasant. If... More
