My stay at this boutique hotel was great.. it was a nice and quite atmosphere, and its also pet friendly, the staff is very sweet, very helpful for willing to assist in any occasion and need. They have a wine happy hour at 5pm to 6pm which I loved. The rooms where cozy and very clean.
Front desk was nice, but hotel room was not clean. Found a dead mosquito, other peoples hair, a used tooth brush, mold and dirt in the hair dryer, grease on the lamps, used tissue paper with black stuff on it. Promised me a refund and confirmed through booking.com but they went past the allotted period to give the refund. Offered me another room and said I can check before I stay, but cmon, as a hotel, paying around 200-300 USD a night, NOT the consumers duty to book a stay and hope it’s clean, as well as it isn’t our job to check for cleanliness, it is expected. This shouldnt be an issue for a hotel charging at this rate. You don’t go to a restaurant and check for hair in the food, it is expected that it’s prepared clean. When offered a new room, to be honest, who would want to move? Might as well find somewhere else. If you find unsanitary things in your food at a restaurant, you wouldn’t be ok with them just remaking, just leave. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Please don’t come. Also seems kind off when owners dont let you post pictures.…
Beware - some websites advertise the hotel amenities to include a gym and pool (they don’t) Staff / service pleasant and rooms to a clean standard. Bed is comfortable . Has in room fridge and coffee facility . Can be Quite noisy - banging noises outside and air on is loud. Shower pressure poor, no shower gel. Hairdryer missing from room , had to request. Location is good - within easy walking distance to beach. Nice coffee / juice shop beside hotel (pura vita ).
I read some bad reviews but gave it a chance, since the hotel seemed remodeled and had a “good” value considering the hight prices of Miami. I made my reservation through Booking.com and prepaid the charges. However, on my SECOND night at the hotel the lady on the front desk didn’t let us in the rooms because in her system our rooms weren’t paid. I showed her the booking payment confirmation but the lady kept insisting that we didn’t. Even after I showed her my credit card record, with the HOTEL CHARGES, she went out of control. She was rude and without even calling Booking.com to know what could have happed, she called the POLICE and had my family and I removed by the property for “trespassing”. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend staying at this place. Worst costumer services ever! This place should by CLOSED!…
We stayed two nights in this hotel at the end of a cruise and would have scored four stars had we not had problems at check in. Our stay was booked last year through a travel agent and on arrival the hotel had no record of our booking. This was due to the hotel changing its computer system recently and it appears existing bookings were not transferred over. We know at least one other person had the same problem the day before. The hotel said they had contacted all booking agencies to ask them to reconfirm bookings but surely the hotel should have ensured the data was transferred during the process. It took nearly two hours to sort out and us calling back to the UK. Fortunately the receptionist, Madeline, was able to say rooms were available or the experience would have been much more stressful. She was also really helpful when we were looking for information about local restaurants, transport and the area. I would suggest anyone with a long standing booking checks before arrival. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. We were in room 108 which was spacious, Wi-Fi worked well and it had a good shower (although it was very noisy when first switched on). Others have commented on the sound proofing and it’s true you can hear people in the next room/ baby crying but this wouldn’t stop me booking again. The breakfast was limited but better than expected with cereals, bread and bagels for toasting, fresh fruit etc. Tea and coffee were always available and a reasonably priced vending machine for soft drinks and snacks. The Landon is in a quiet road with a rather expensive restaurant next door. However there are a number of alternatives within a 5-10 minute walk, across the bridge, as well as a Publix and CVS pharmacy. There are also buses running to South Beach and Lincoln Road shopping Mall here with a fare of $2.50 each. Much cheaper than an Uber or taxi and run very frequently. Note the road is one way so your return is one street down, getting off at 17th Street going and 96th Street coming back to the hotel. North Bay itself has a lovely beach and walkway which again is about 10 mins from Landon with a river inlet at one end which we were told has videos on YouTube because of its riptides. Overall this hotel, while not in the heart of Miami beach life, is comfortable with great eating options nearby and good connections to south beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it made a very good base for exploring Miami.…
