I visited your restaurant and was lucky enough to meet your restaurant GM Amy and she is absolutely amazing! I am in the hospitality industry and she is exactly what a restaurant GM should be. Her team respected her and she was there to help support them. She was also friendly and took her time to get to know her guests. I will be back just because of her!!
Stopped over after an event from the Chase Center and had a delicious salmon dinner, and a few drinks. Our server Ariana was so sweet and kind, she remembered everything!!! I am usually very picky with my food, but she got it just right! The manager Amy was very knowledgeable, and was walking around to the tables greeting the customers, and making sure everything was good. We will definitely be back!!
We have been coming to this hotel for years to see my in-laws. The staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to assist. Many hotels have cut back on services. This hotel is no different. They no longer maintain the pool by the fitness center. It sits there sad and empty. They no longer provide a shuttle bus. The bar that we used to hang out at is now closed. The much bigger issue for me than losing the services, is that the hotel rooms are really run down. The furniture is all chipped or stained, the carpets feel grungy and the doors are grimy. The lighting all needs updating. It must be one of the worst Westin’s in the portfolio. We really hope that they upstage and update the hotel soon. Much newer hotel options have now opened right next door. We might have to try them next time.…
My wife and I wanted a business/thanksgiving/vacation away, so I chose the Westin in Wilmington, Delaware. We left early as the TGD traffic would be gridlocked. I used Philidelphia road to beat some of the I-95 traffic to exit 80, and it worked. Smooth sailing took us to the Westin early. I took a chance and requested an early check-in at 11 am, but to my surprise, arriving around 9:30 am, our room was ready for us to check in! I went up first to do some recon and realized the hotel was dated. A decent size for what is classified as a "larger room." The young lady at the front desk was awesome as she said to stay in touch if we had any questions or concerns. While waiting to check in and unload the truck, we missed the breakfast deadline at 10 am. Ready for dinner, which started at 5 pm, we were waiting for the doors to open. We were ushered in, seated, and greeted by Sam, who took great care of us as she made our mixed drinks. I wanted to order the roasted chicken but mentioned the fact that there was no microwave in the rooms, to which Sam said she could have maintenance bring one to our room; I was blown away as I quickly said yes and ordered the chicken, and Dr. Angel ordered a cheeseburger, both dinners we could not finish. We ordered breakfast in our room the next morning, which was delicious. We used this Thanksgiving getaway to unwind, take care of some future business plans and eat some good food. The staff here is top-notched and will return in the future.…
Came here on a weekend for a wedding. We were really pleasantly surprised first of all at the location. It’s right near the river front walk which was so beautiful some nice shops and beautiful scenery. The hotel itself was very clean and really done nicely. We had a room on a higher floor with a king bed that was extremely comfortable. In fact this is the only hotel we stayed at in quite a while that actually had pad and pen by the night stand. Breakfast downstairs was really good although it’s not included in your stay. About the only bad thing I could say was that there were not enough luggage carts. When we checked in we had to log our baggage from our car all the way upstairs to our room. Then when we were checking out we had to wait a while to secure a card. They could certainly useMore luggage carts. All in all we gave our experience here at the Westin Highmarks and when we are in the area again we would consider staying here once again.…
The best things about this hotel are the staff and, surprisingly, the food. The hotel is really overdue for a refit. The rooms feel dirty. The doors are all a bit “sticky” ( all the doors are dirty and sticky). The bathrooms are outdated. The carpets are gross. It used to feel new and clean but now…yuck.
The Westin Wilmington is a clean property, with a great location, Clean rooms, good restaurant and friendly staff(Evelyn). There are plenty of food options within walking distance from the hotel. It's in the heart of the riverfront district.
Stayed at the Weston on July 23, 2022. nice and clean hotel. Close to the wedding venue at the Chase Center. The people who work in the hotel and at the Chase Center from the front desk to the servers at the wedding and the waitresses at the restaurant/bar were the friendliest and most helpful that I have met. I spoke to several of the women who work at the restaurant on Sunday morning and told them that they either had great training or are just the friendliest people. They were very happy with my compliment and it appears that they are just friendly people who love their jobs.
We stayed here 3 nights for a wedding held at the Chase Center. We've stayed in many Westins before, but this stay clearly showed us how poor in quality Westin standards have gone down. We requested an early check-in in advance through both the app and calling the reception, but had to wait a very long time for a double queen after being told the rooms were not inspected yet. When we finally got our room, we were disappointed to see the used and abused furnishings, particularly the desk with many markings over it. Our shower had drainage issues that we had initially fixed, but then continued throughout our stay. There was no shower gel, and barely any shampoo or conditioner in the tubes in the shower. None of the trash bins had any liners in them (how unsanitary!). Housekeeping was a pain to get a hold of; other people in our wedding party were told cleanings that included changing the sheets were only every 3 days (I've only had timeshare resorts tell me that before). I had to flag people down in the hallway for towels. Our wedding party had a couple suites booked and it was disappointing to see how dilapidated and dark the suite rooms looked, especially the furnishings that are long overdue to be changed with stains and threads hanging off everywhere. What really got me on this stay was that on our second night after all the wedding events transpired, we tried using the elevator to go back up to our room only to hear people trapped inside banging on the elevator doors for 10 min. I flagged a guy at reception to come help and he brushed it off so easily saying "it's due to the pressure effects, they'll be back up on their floor soon." As a physician, I told him this was an urgent matter as we don't know how many people are stuck in there and God forbid someone has a panic attack in there and passes out. I told him that elevator needs to be put out of service if it keeps stopping like this. He didn't give a damn and just walked away. It turns out it was my family members stuck in there for over 10 minutes. I find this to be so negligent of the hotel staff- I'm sure you'll have a lawsuit coming your way when the elevator pulls another extended pause. I also realized there is no service elevator that the staff can use, so they also use the main guest elevator, further causing elevator traffic. Also, the location is just a stone’s throw away from sketchy neighborhoods. You definitely need a car to get around. The only good thing about this place was the convenience of being attached to the Chase Center; other than that this hotel definitely does not exude the Westin quality I used to love and know.…
