I have stayed at this hotel for several weeks in the past few months and can report that it is not a good experience. first the good: I enjoy the food at the restaurant on site. it's convenient to the waterfront, which is nice. now the not so good: there are always lines at the front desk and the people working are not very friendly or helpful. any time I had an issue they were unable to help. I had several accounting issues that I could never get resolved on more than one stay. it amazed me that each employee seems so burdened when you ask for help. my room had loud banging in the walls (I believe this was from the elevator) and couldn't switch rooms, nor were they able to fix it. I had to turn my laptop into a white noise machine to fall sleep. my room was dirty when I checked in. dirty carpets, shower, and an actual blood stain (!) on the bed skirt. that's disgusting and inexcusable. the hotel feels like it's 30 years old and tired. it opened in 2014. I don't understand how it feels so dated and worn. I left belongings behind in the chair. they ask you use a website to file a claim - I did and immediately got an email back saying they didn't have the items. I know exactly where I left them in the room, so the fact of the matter is the items were either tossed or taken by housekeeping. overall I would not recommend this hotel, nor would I stay here again. I would recommend the adjacent Homewood Suites by Hilton. it's a much better run property.

Disappointed that their promise of cleanliness was not delivered. See picture of yellow stain found below the toilet seat in our bathroom. I called the front desk when I saw this but nothing could be done because they don’t have anyone come in your room once you’re checked in. They also missed on service. We asked for extra towels before our arrival. They were not in the room and when my husband called for extra towels and washcloths, we only got washcloths. Water was also leaking from the ceiling in the shower. I’m a Rewards member and never have I’ve been so disappointed that I I felt the need to leave a review. Do better.

First thing is first, when I checked into the hotel I was not greeted properly and was treated as a annoyance. I come all the time and I was met with attitude. I asked for a room with a view, but was given a room that did not have all the lights working as well as no view. I am a Gold Elite Member and that morning I requested a 2pm checkout that I can have. The night auditor told me she put it on the account, however, when my boyfriend got back to lay down at around 12 he came in and the room was completely stripped! I then called back and was met with an indifferent manager who told me although he saw the 2pm checkout that my boyfriend was unprofessional and yelled at the front desk agent which clearly did not take place. There wasn’t an apology but a “yeah we did this but you guys reacted wrong” kind of attitude which wasn’t the case at all. I worked at the Marriott and never experienced as much lies and attitude like this one. HORRIBLE! The only associate who has been kind and helpful was James Hodges.

Had a one night stay at the Westin in Wilmington Delaware visiting friends in Newcastle. Cannot tell you how disappointing it was. I understand all the restrictions we are under associated with coronavirus. I appreciate the cleanliness and distancing, however it does not mean that the staff cannot be friendly and interactive even if from a distance. Play frankly looked afraid rather than helpful. Other than the front desk girl, who was not particularly friendly, no one at any point said hello or bothered to greet us or be cordial. The Hotel was very clean although our room was set up at in a somewhat unusual fashion. I appreciated the coffee machine but there were no bottled waters. We did have breakfast in room which was below average but it was conveniently delivered. Check out was as check in, impersonal. This was a hybrid couples night out along with doing some business for a local Wilmington company and I must say I'll be looking for alternate accommodations my next visit despite being a Marriott Gold member.

Due to caronavirus, the hotel was virtually empty, - less than a dozen cars in the lot, yet they put someone in the room next door on our 7th floor! Big shower w/rain head & handheld, but ceiling was peeling. Appeared to be older unit. Nice little lounge had 6 bar stools & 6 draft beer taps, but all closed due to virus. No buffet in am, but we were given a meager to-go bag. NO FREE INTERNET!! - Couldn’t believe that!
