Beautifully converted bank into a small boutique hotel. Suite rooms are very large with high ceilings. Bed is comfortable - but ask for feather pillows if dense pillows affect you. Mini bar well stocked , large shower and plenty of sunlight. Weekends boast free coffee and tea and Sunday brunch and dinner was exceptional. Incredibly friendly staff and location was near train station and major business. Valet parking was available but street parking is available if you wish to use meters (free after 6). No ramps to front door side- so steps need to be navigated. Valet service uses side entrance for moving bags. Rooftop bar is very nice - and warmer weather will allow outside space to be utilized. Downstairs speak easy bar was very cool. Great destination for small parties or weddings.

Staying at the Quoin Hotel made our sister’s week vacation even more special. The hotel itself is a former bank, then repurposed to a charter school, and now a world class boutique hotel. The design of the spaces, surfaces, and furniture is well planned, beautiful and modern, as well as inviting, and charming. They have been able to retain many of the historical components of the original building, such as the huge and beautiful windows, and some moldings. The rooms are clean and roomy. The beds are extremely comfortable, no center sag here!
The Quoin has an amazing restaurant, (Biden has eaten there several times) as well as two separate bars. Although there are many delicious restaurants nearby, I highly recommend that you have at least one dinner early in your stay at the Quoin. You will likely choose to eat there again during your stay. The food was delicious, and the wine was inspirational!
All these things about the hotel are absolutely wonderful, but the very most important part of a hotel stay is a great staff that can anticipate your needs and care for you. The staff at the Quoin truly meet this very high standard. First, Chris, the Hotel Manager, helped me to make my reservations, communicated kindly, and made sure we were able to get the best possible rate. Before we even stepped in the door, the Valet met us, warmly welcomed us, unloaded our car and took our luggage into the hotel. After checking in, he took our luggage to our rooms. The Front Desk Manager, Jashera, “J”, has a smile that lights up the room, and a welcoming warmth that goes with it! Every day, she remembered our names, had a warm greeting, and was very willing and able to answer questions, make wonderful suggestions, and truly help to make our stay absolutely delightful. April, another Front Desk staff was also extremely helpful, and anxious to go out of her way to provide excellent service to our group. I wish I remembered the names of every staff person I came in contact with because each and every one contributed to our wonderful experience at the Quoin.
Each member of our group shared this wonderful experience, and my sister, who lives in Philly, said she and her husband will definitely stay at the Quoin when they visit Wilmington.
If I could give them 10 stars, I would.

For those who don't want to stay in cookie cutter chain hotels, this is the place for you. Interesting and comfortable rooms. The small number of rooms, plus a wonderful restaurant and bars within the building (so you do not have to leave the premises to have a great time) give the guest a homey feeling. More could be done to provide some food for breakfast, since the restaurant is closed in the morning, and more electrical outlets n the room would be improvements. Bu these are minor quibbles. I recommend that you check out this hotel when next in Wilmington - it is a unique and enjoyable experience.

The owners of the Quoin have done a great job renovating and outfitting this beautiful property. It has a lot of potential. The bed was comfortable and the white noise machine was a wonderful touch to help blur out some of the city noises. Rooms were gorgeous. I had 3 main issues: 1) I booked a king suite that "sleeps 3" (king bed plus sofa) but upon arrival it turned out to be a sofa - not a sofa bed. Very deceptive and also a very uncomfortable sofa upon which my 5'10" teenager could not possibly sleep. 2) Staffing levels. I realize the Quoin is still pretty new but they need more people who are trained on how to do things, the phone shouldn't ring 25 times before being answered, the front desk shouldn't be unmanned for 15+ minutes, etc etc etc. Still some work needed there. 3) The shower had two temperatures: off, and scalding hot. I couldn't physically stand it. This place could be amazing and I hope it works out the kinks and gets there!

The Quoin is a small hotel (24 rooms) that creates an intimate and personalized experience. It is beautifully designed throughout with well curated rooms filled with plants, thoughtful supplies such as filtered water, Aesop toiletries and a clothes steamer, and unique lighting and furniture. Despite it's small number of rooms, it does not skimp on amenities and contains not only a delicious, sophisticated restaurant but two bars - one on the rooftop and another cozy 'speakeasy' in the basement. And every morning we enjoyed coffee and pastries in the comfortable and welcoming lobby. One of the things we appreciated most about our four night stay was the staff - everyone was professional, helpful and also genuinely friendly. Our family was in town for our mother's memorial service, and I want to thank Chris in particular for making our time there so comfortable. We look forward to another stay when we visit family again in the future.

Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The room was so beautifully designed and possessed a comfortable homestyle feel with a level of chicness. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in my room. The rest of the hotel matches the ambiance. The downstairs lobby is so stylish. The restaurant offers delicious food and the speakeasy downstairs takes you back to the 1920 prohibition era. Not to forget the amazing rooftop deck with beautiful views of downtown Wilmington.

Beautifully refurbished bank, all the lovely details plus plush and comfy. Lots of velvet seating and pillows a striking mix of styles. The food was perfectly prepared and the menu eclectic. Our room was large, very clean and the bed huge with primo linens, a large well stocked fridge and bar cart were nice touches. The valet service was so professional and courteous even offered to take us to our venue. The bar downstairs is just a must see with exposed beams and brick hand painted walls and low lighting, comfy velvet seating. The whole vibe of The Quoin is elegant yet not stuffy, hip but inviting. Really loved this space and the hospitality.

Wow, just wow. From the incredible drinks, outstanding service, impeccable food… I have no complaints. I might have to make Wilmington a monthly visit! Our server Grace was a godsend, she was able to corral our rambunctious group and guide us through the intricacies of the menu. We absolutely loved her and our meal. 100/10. DON’T WALK, RUN!!!

Was here on business back in January, I travel to Wilmington often for business and leisure. Decided to check this place out because it wasn’t open last time I visited Wilmington.
No barista on duty, even though the restaurant area is supposed to apparently be the draw, along with the rooftop bar.
But that’s nitpicking I guess, the real jewel was the horrible valet service. Guy is smoking when we pulled up, smoking when I got my vehicle back also. Valet guys both smelled like strong weed, two African American guys, on their phones the whole time.
And to top it off, my car was ticketed for being parked on the city street instead in valet area. Why did I pay valet fees, only to have my car parked on the street? I could have parked my own car on the streets myself and kept money in my pocket.
