I just love being here. OK, there is a bit of a walk and a schlepping of luggage from the car park to the rooms but if you have a tongue in your head, you can ask the always friendly and accommodating staff for some help and they have been more than happy to oblige. I stay here when I...

Booking - I was able to complete via telephone. Very quick and easy and an email confirmation was sent to me right away. Welcome / Check-in - When I arrived there was one gentleman at the Front Desk. He asked if he could help me (looking kind of surprised -- maybe because I'm African American in a very white, affluent...

We traveled here and met up with friends from Connecticut. The husband of the couple grew up in Wilmington, DE, but had not heard of the accommodations, which we booked through Select Registry. Such a unique property- as it was a DuPont village for the workers' families. We were able to secure one home with an easy door access to...

The Inn at Montchanin is highly recommended. This facility does an excellent job of retaining the feel of a charming historical inn, with its old (but well maintained) buildings, while at the same time updating the key features of a nice hotel - well functioning air conditioning, modern bathrooms, etc. The staff are very nice, and accommodating. The hotel's restaurant...

The hotel has various types of rooms and little dwellings with some antique furniture and nice paintings. Do not expect a Chateau and Relais. It is a bit scruffy outside and has some rickety stairs and downright messy decks and front porches. The price can be $300 for 6 guests in season. It has a very nice restaurant which was...

The Inn at Montchanin is a real experience! It is a collection of small buildings, each of which was housing for employees working at a nearby Dupont gunpowder factory. The houses have been divided into individual suites. We had one of the less expensive rooms but it suited our needs perfectly. It faced a quiet street (some of the houses...

We had the opportunity to see five rooms while there all of which were beautifully decorated in the traditional style. Top-of-the-line linens and towels, and great attention to detail made the stay elegant and understated. Our room had kitchenette stocked with k-cups and basic kitchen necessities and a microwave and even an ice maker in the fridge. Close to all...

Our first stay at the Inn. We stayed in the Algernon cottage and were very pleased with everything at the Inn. When we arrived we checked in and were offered assistance with our luggage and getting familiar with our cottage. After getting settled in we went back to the front desk area and discussed the local attractions with the staff...

We came to the Montchanin Inn to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was the middle of winter so there were very few people around, but that did not diminish our visit. The Inn is made up of cottages that were used by the workers years ago. Our room Carpenter B.This was one of the less expensive rooms and was...

My wife and I are big " foodies" and the restaurant, Krazy Kats, came highly recommended, so I decided to take my wife for dinner, and overnight stay, and maternity massage.... We arrived to a small, restored "hamlet" that was exactly as featured online! This period-themed inn was quaint, quiet and warm. Every room and building were highly detailed and...
