The Blue Water House was a total treat - fun and relaxing and practically all ours in weekday October - lucky us! Colorful art pieces start in the parking lot and populate the entire B&B with an eclectic Key West sort of vibe. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a flat screen TV, wifi, and a mini-fridge included. We also happened to get one of the rooms with a balcony and a porch swing. The beach is only a short walk away. Things are likely much more crowded in the summer months, but even then, The Blue Water House is in a quieter residential area, perfect for those who want to be near lots of interesting things to see and do, without being right on top of them. And thanks to our hosts for an excellent breakfast. Many, many choices, all of them delicious! Our hosts could not have been kinder or more agreeable. They are also animal lovers and are strong supporters of Faithful Friends Animal Society, a no-kill shelter and animal advocacy group. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Water House and look forward to our next visit.…
We stayed in one of the corner rooms with a balcony with a nice view of the neighborhood. Rick and Tony were readily available anytime of the day that we were at the inn. Laid back atmosphere and great facilities. Short walk to beach and restaurants.
I loved it! Each of the 11 rooms are different, but seem to keep the same "tropical vibe" theme. My room was quite large and had a refrigerator, good for keeping cold drinks. The shower head lights up blue when the water is flowing. They have beach cruiser bikes available for no charge, I found an old Fuji hybrid also available. 10 minute walk to Second Street. Rick, the owner, and Tony,, the manager,, are helpful and gregarious. If you prefer bland, it might not be your place, if you, like me, prefer something different that is also a nice place to relax, you will love it.
We totally enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious and comfortable, including an outdoor deck with swing. Snacks, water and breakfast was abundant. Rick and Tony are incredibly accommodating. And the location is perfect - you can walk to the beach, walk into town, or use one of their bikes. We loved the funky art and colorful decorations and found it to be a happy place. We'll be back for sure.
Had a great time in the Lewes and the Blue Water House specifically. The staff was very accommodating and fun to talk to you. Very unique and relaxed place but also very clean to ensure comfort in the Covid era.
