My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary on the coast of Delaware, and Hotel Blue was the perfect spot. It's absolutely immaculate, has the best coffee anywhere and so much gracious hospitality. All the little touches that go into making a great stay are here - whether it's luxurious bathrobes, high-end toiletries, or the best beds anywhere. It's a smallish, boutique hotel, and your hosts cannot do enough for you. We will be back yesterday. Love this place, and you will too.

We spent five nights at Hotel Blue, during the pandemic, and felt that it was safe and clean. The only slight downside, and this may not matter to some people, is that there are no king beds, only queens. On the plus side, there is a fantastic (free) coffeemaker in the lobby, and a small rooftop pool which is open until 11pm. It's great to swim under the stars! The beach is walkable (less than a 10 minute walk) and you can also walk to several restaurants in the downtown area. The suites are spacious enough for a dining area, and there is a microwave and fridge. This allowed us to do carry out. We totally enjoyed our stay. Lewes is a nice town and not as crazy as other nearby beach towns.

I could not be happier with my choice of Hotel Blue for my weekend visit to Lewes, DE. The room we had (201) was very spacious, a/c worked great (it was a hot weekend) and the location is excellent. The pandemic makes this a scary time to travel, but I felt fine at the Hotel Blue. One night we took out food for dinner. Having the table and chairs made this comfortable. The hotel loaned us silverware. We made our oatmeal for breakfast in the room since we had a microwave, fridge and even a sink to wash the dishes. It was nice not to have to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. Very happy there. We loved the rooftop pool. Very nicely heated. Some reviewers complained about the price. I think this is unfair. If you put this hotel in a city, they would command a much higher rate. I think the price was fair for what you get.

Just spent 2 nights there. $512 for 2 nights? Really? I was greeted by a blood red stain on the carpet just inside the door. How inviting. Room is tiny, balcony is tinier, table on the balcony is tiniest. A/C air handler in the room sounds like an aircraft carrier getting underway, literally waking us both up every time the A/C kicked on. No light block on half the room's windows, so you get the mercury vapor lamp light from the marina across the street all night long. Yeah, about those "canal views"--if you can see between the roof of the businesses, the parked boats and the dumpster you might catch a glimpse of some actual canal water. Probably not though. Virtually no amenities, although the coffee bar is decent. Rooms have no place for two people to sit, unless you count the 120-degree balconette, where the table is just big enough for 2 cups of coffee. Both days we got a full boat horn blast or six from the canal 4am to 6am. The glowing sinks notwithstanding, this is not a good value unless you absolutely have to stay in a small hotel close to the unremarkable Lewes Beach.

Hotel Blue is a great boutique hotel near the beach. It is walking distance to the beach as well as town. This was the first hotel I visited since COVID. I felt very safe as the facility observes CDC guidelines and is clean and hygenic. The room we stayed in was spacious and had a small balcony which was nice to enjoy coffee in the morning. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this hotel to stay in.
