Stellar recent experience at the Sleep Inn. We have stayed at 5 star hotels that gave us less personal attention than the staff here. We were very pleased by the helpful and friendly staff . Our room was comfortable and clean. The amenities included a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were provided. There is a small store for various sundries. Breakfast included both hot and cold items. We felt safe and secure in our hotel room. It was quiet and conducive to an adequate rest. The price was a fraction of the cost of a five star hotel. We will return.

The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The lobby was clean and clutter free. Our room was nice and had ample space.Complimentary Breakfast was hot and cold items, and there was Plenty the lady who was running the breakfast did a great job. The drawbacks were the filter on the heat/AC unit were dirty, the reason for waking with a headache and stuffy nose. A quick rinse the shower would clean the filters. Upon check out we discovered they charged us for use of the safe which we did not use or request. They said the charge would be dropped, we will watch for it on our bill. The toilet was extremely loose, we had to be careful with each use, we did inform the front desk upon checkout. Since we were only staying one night we thought this could wait till then. The shower door is designed so that there is a large gap where it connects to the wall of shower, so the water leaks out and leaves a large puddle, just a bad bad design in the shower. Although the room appeared clean we did fond a toenail on the bathroom floor near the shower and garbage can, makes us wonder if the bathroom was vacuumed along with the rest of the room.Even given these issues we wold probably stay again.

My wife an I stayed here for our honeymoon. We had an excellent time and the hotel was exactly what I was expecting very clean and did a great job following covid19 guidlines they provided packaged items for breakfast such as muffins pop tarts instead of a breakfast buffet for safety reason. They also cleaned an disinfected everything very offen. the staff was very kind and helpful we had a small problem with our original room,I went to the desk to explain the problems. They upgraded us to a different room right away and got there staff on fixing the issues with the original room we had. Joe who was working the desk was excellent, very friendly and helpful and has great customer service skills. Shane also was great the few times I spoke with him. Overall I was pleased with our trip and will definitely consider staying here in the future.

I would rate sleep inn at a solid 3 out of 5. If you can’t find any other hotel close by then go for it..otherwise give it a pass!

First the room was clean with enough room for a family of 5, with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. Sofa bed isn’t the comfiest of all but can be useful if needed for young kids.

Few issues we had was with daily housekeeping. During COVID times, hotels have found an excuse to not clean your rooms by using “we sanitize it once” or “let us know what you need”. The hotel changed their policy they they will clean only once per 3 day stay(maybe I should also pay 30 percent less each day?)

We had to write a note on a hotel provided door hanger as to what service I needed, like extra towels or take out trash. I selected those but they didn’t take our trash so I had to drop the trash myself. Clean towels were left outside my door and used ones weren’t removed so I left used one outside my door. Room wasn’t vacuumed(because they clean once per 3 day) so I had to live with some left over sand on the carpet..my kids did complain that they can’t rid or beach sand even whet their shower! Oh well l told them next time we would pack our roomba!

The breakfast has also changed in covid times, no more of the hot eggs or sausages or even waffle maker. However it was perfectly “safe” for guests to share a toaster oven or self serve coffee machine..go figure!

So if you just need a place to crash with enough room for a party of 5, this may work but if you are expecting normal services hotels provide then I would say skip this for something else.

I have had positive experiences staying at the Sleep Inn, Lewes, Delaware--nothing special but adequate. Unfortunately, I cannot count my stay there for two nights February 11-13, 2021, among those positive experiences. Instead, I found common sense consistently missing in action.

The morning of Friday, February 12, brought to Lewes subzero temperatures and icy conditions. Endeavoring nevertheless to get my essential morning workout, I visited the hotel's fitness center only to find its lights dark and door locked without explanation. An employee who happened by explained that the fitness center was being renovated with "no idea" when it might reopen.

Why in the middle of winter does it make any sense to close an indoor fitness center indefinitely? Anyone using common sense would decide to renovate during summer months, when guests can exercise outdoors. And why was the fitness center closed indefinitely?

Lack of common sense again manifested itself as I prepared to check out of the hotel. The property imposes a check out time of 11:00 AM, which also makes no sense on a holiday weekend with only a handful of guests occupying the property. To add insult to injury, in the middle of my trying to vacate my room by 11:00 AM, its door lock stopped responding to my key card. I had to visit the hotel's front desk and beg it to reactivate my key card solely so I could enter the room one final time to finish removing my belongings. The front desk explained that the computer automatically cuts off key cards at 11:00 AM. However, my key card was disabled many minutes before 11:00 AM. Failing to trust guests to check out by the mandated time also lacks common sense.

Upon eventually checking out, I intended to share my concerns with the hotel’s staff, two of whom were then working the front desk. Unfortunately, neither of them bothered to ask me whether I had enjoyed my stay or had any comments. Once again, common sense was nowhere evident.

Clean hotel with friendly service. I have stayed here twice and both times had a good experience. Close to restaurants, shopping, and short drive to Cape Henlopen.
Due to COVID they no longer have a full breakfast but they do have breakfast items available. Linens are replenished each day outside your room, along with trash removal, and any toiletries needed. Will definitely return.

This was my first stay at a Sleep Inn, but I've stayed at many other Choice Brand Hotels. This hotel was my favorite of all of my Choice stays. Our room was very clean & had a modern feel, hotel lobby was modern & very clean. All of the front desk people (shout out to Dana) were super-nice & VERY accommodating. There is an outdoor pool, which we didn't get to use, but I did sit by it for about an hour the night before check out. Very relaxing. They also have 2 grills you can use to cook outside by the pool. Beds & pillows are VERY comfortable. Covid precautions were taken seriously... Masks required in lobby, elevator, hallways...not in your room, of course. Breakfast was individually wrapped muffins, boxed juices, granola bars. I didn't mind that at all. In fact it was convenient on our last day to grab & go. The hotel is on Route 1 aka Coastal Highway aka "The strip". Anythimg you could possibly want to eat, you will find on "The strip". Movie theater playing classic movies was just about next door. Mini-golf & other activities were also on "the strip". The beach (north boardwalk area) is a 15 minute drive. It would probably be 10 minutes, but Route 1 (The strip) is the main thoroughfare, so there was usually a bit of traffic, but not anything ridiculous. This hotel exceeded my expectations, & I will definitely stay here again, the next time I visit rehoboth.

My wife & I have stayed at the Sleep Inn & Suites Rehoboth Beach fairly often. Usually a few times a year. The hotel was renovated in 2018 and is very nice. We always book online thru Choice Hotels.

Unfortunately the owner continues so sneak a small additional fee for the safe, which is $1.50 (plus 11% tax) per night even if you never used the safe. Guess it's a nickel & dime approach to generate additional income.

Disappointed Sleep Inn throws in a small fee without the consumer realizing the charge unless they review their original reservation.

Our room smelled like a wet dog and the light bulbs must have had the lowest wattage available. The towel rack in the bathroom was falling out of the wall. It didn’t seem very clean. We were on a road trip and stayed in 5 different accommodations and this was the worst by far. I only booked it because it had positive reviews. What a bad surprise when we got there. Extra disappointing to pay the highest rate here compared to the other places we stayed due to it being a beach area and the month of June.

I also have to mention, although this will not apply to most travelers, that we needed an accessible room due to a person who uses a walker to get from point A to point B. The accessible room we were given here was the last room at the end of the hall. Seriously? Make the handicapped go farther to get to their room? We have come up against this is some other hotels, so Sleep Inn is not alone in this, but whoever designs the placement of accessible room should take this into account in the future.

I rated this place a 2 because the front desk people in the afternoon and morning were both very nice and the breakfast looked like there was a lot of selection, although we didn’t eat anything. I can’t comment on the pool as we didn’t use it but it looked like it had a nice area for kids. Perhaps that’s why it got good reviews from others.

However, if you are passing through this area and need a place to go for the night, I would make a different choice.

My family stayed here for Labor Day weekend. This hotel was perfect for families! It offers a free continental breakfast every morning so that’s helpful for big families! The hotel was very clean! The front desk was very friendly & accommodating so that’s a PLUS! I loved that the pool area has a kiddie pool and little fish slide because my 4yr old absolutely love it!! My only negative is that our room (110) smelled like stale corn chips or old man’s feet!! It was not pleasant, LOL!! Oh, and the vent in the bathroom was broken and hanging low. I totally forgot to mention that to the front desk when I checked out but I did leave it on their review. Other than that, I absolutely recommend staying here. It’s about a 15min drive to Lewes beach. Super close to restaurants and stores so it’s perfect!

They do. I stayed in a room where the living room is separated from the bedroom last winter. If I remember correctly those rooms are limited. Better call them to make sure you get the room you want. I called them when I was making the reservation and the helpful staff told me which options to choose.

We didn't go north to Cape Henlopen; we weren't there long enough for much sightseeing. It's at least 4-5 miles, pretty long walk.
