Pulling up to the King's Inn, I'll admit it was not what I expected. I was quick to turn my nose up to the exterior, and upon walking inside, I was sure I wouldn't enjoy my stay. But. Once I realized how much history was here, I slowly began to take my guards down. We are so used to modern... More

I couldn't agree more with the 2010 and May 2013 reviews. I wish I had read these reviews before booking a room. The location and price were good, but they definitely need a maid service and handyman on premises. There is clutter everywhere. There were extension chords used in ways that I would never allow in my home because I... More

Spring of 2013 I found the Kings Inn to be way past its prime. It certainly is large Victorian House in beautiful historic Lewes, DE but it is no longer beautiful. Needs much repair and is no longer a safe, comfortable, habit for any traveler. Small rooms, dirty, musty and old without any visible airconditioning. My friend and I ran... More

Kings Inn is large Victorian house in historical Lewes, great location! You are within walking distance of the main shopping and eating area, historical churches and museums, beautiful Lewes-Rehoboth Canal boardwalk. Every Saturday morning – great farmers market right in the middle of the historical Market Square! People are really nice in Lewes and local coffee shop makes a bunch... More

We chose the King's Inn for it's modest price and it's proximity to downtown Lewes and the nearby shopping outlets. We should have turned around before getting out of our car. First, the back yard was messy with debris and upon knocking on the inn's door a disheveled man in pajamas and slippers answered the door. It was 2:30 in... More

This is a B&B in a largish house within walking distance of the main shopping and eating area in Lewes. It is comfortable, but not a place to go if you prefer sanitary chain hotels. As a family home-type place, there are things everywhere, and it feels a little dusty, a little moldy in spots - not in the sleeping... More
