Did eat at the Sugar Factory (and have a few times as nothing else was open) Food was average at best, price point was VERY high. Have purchased a sandwich at the small shop on the other side of the casino--lettuce was wilted, had to through out most of the sandwich. Best bet in the casino is the Italian place or the burger place in the back of the casino. Please bring back the Garden Cafe! Sugar Factory is horrible. Wish Dover Downs still owned this place.

Rollins center is very nice however to find a place to eat or drink is ridiculous. There are like 2 bars to choose from, with a line that is a half mile long. It is crazy. You would think when there is a concert, they would have more bars and more workers... NO . One lady at one bar to serve everyone at the concert. Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! There are only 2-3 places to eat. Wth....

I was excited to try Royal Prime. I never cared for Michele's and was hoping Ballys would do it right. No such luck. Royal Prime is in the old Michele's. No signage saying the upstairs restaurant wasn't open and they were serving out of the lounge downstairs. We were seated promptly but the host station was disorganized and had no idea what tables were available. That said, the Host was the only staff that seemed to be happy to be there. Did not see a server for about 10 minutes. Server attitude was lacking and ordering took quite awhile. Drinks took a long time to come out. Baked potato was $11! Waited for refills. Ordered a drink before my food arrived and was half way through my steak before it showed up. People sitting at the bar cheering a football game. I didn't pay $175 for 2 of us to sit in a sports bar with bad service. I will say the steaks were very good and cooked almost perfectly. I totally understand staying issues right now. This was simply poor training. I may try again in 6 months to see if it's any better, but I have my doubts.

Much to my dismay the casino does not open until 8am. I asked the front desk where to get coffee a d was advised nothing available until 8am. I asked if anything in walking distance and no. I did walk to McDonald’s which was about a mile. Also told no room available so I bi Jed with my friends. I did not wa t to disturb them at 7am by making coffee In the room. Casino seemed quite empty so perhaps no rooms due to no staff to clean. None if the stores were open ni the snack shops. Only on weekends. .

My husband and I stayed here for the entire week of our birthday (we share a birthday) and the people were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and had a terrific view of the race track. Due to covid no one was able to clean our room but, I was able to get supplies from the cleaning staff in the hallway each morning. Unfortunately, some of the restaurants we wanted to visit were closed. We were able to enjoy the Sugar Factory and had a blast at the casino (we never gambled before). We ate at two other places inside and got a massage at the Toppers spa. Everything was great despite the lack of options you usually would have. I am hopeful that staffing will allow it to fully open so that we can have the full experience in the future. I will visit in the future.

Loved the atmosphere in this place. Some of the staff could use a refreshing in being friendly, but others were great. Love the decor in the casino. Will definitely be there again. The place was clean and I loved the idea of the clean or needs to be clean cards on the slots.

I felt safe in a pandemic - the hotel took all precautions with temperature taking, putting things in plastic, limiting number of people in the elevator, etc. I was grateful for that. The time to check in and check out was too long, however, and three people deep. The room itself was okay. I found the sheets to be too hard for some reason, and they crackled when I moved. The bathroom toilet roll holder was broken. The inside of the shower could have been cleaner - please check the dirt buildup in the bottom track of the sliding doors. The hotel valet service was not available due to covid. But, they did not reserve any special parking for hotel guests. We were left to find our own parking in with the regular casino parking. In our case, we had to park far, far, away, and we ended up having to cart our luggage a great distance in the cold wind. I would not return again.

We stayed on NYE and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is doing a great job navigating all the Covid Rules and Regulations. The reason for our stay was solely to watch live horse racing. It was our first time at Dover, and we had intended to stay at a cheaper option down the street. However, the convenience of the location and awesome attitude by all the staff, made this our hotel of choice for the future. The front desk did an amazing job explaining everything we needed to know for our stay. They handed out a care package with hand sanitizer and masks. The view from our room was incredible. It would be a dream come true to stay here during a Nascar Race. We were able sit indoors and view the horse races from the grandstand. All tables and chairs were kept socially distanced. We felt very safe and comfortable. We did walk through the casino area and observed all the machines separated to keep players apart. Room service was available until 10pm. We had our food in 10 minutes after we called! The next day before our departure, we had breakfast in the Garden Café. The service and the food were fantastic. I can’t say enough about the staff. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We planned to return next December but had such a great time, we may be back in just a few weeks.
