Really great service at the front desk, fast and accurate. My room was HUGE, with a very comfortable bed and even had a view of the race track which was such fun (although grateful it was a track day the following morning!). Amenities were good and the room was clean.

Don’t expect a normal casino/resort type of experience. Never been in a casino where you couldn’t play video poker at a bar. All of the bars are just straight serving drinks with no opportunity to play games..weird. And the food options are equally strange. Can’t really find a casual option for lunch/dinner and none of the restaurants were consistently open. Kind of sketchy clientele. But the rooms were quite roomy and had a refrig. Would not return.

Ballys Dover is a great resort destination stop, There are several options to enjoy. Slots, live harness and auto racing and simulcast from racetracks through out the country. Auto racing offers great week of events . The restaurants are good. Tax free shopping in Delaware

Was Platinum with Total Rewards, Platinum with Dover Rewards. Bally's downgraded me to start over card. o.k. So, being with Dover solo since 2001, I booked a room paying for first night then 2 more nights comped. 4.5 hrs. drive for me. I asked for my usual 9th or 10th floor. When checking in, was told I could have the 7th. o.k. Room was very clean. Not a suite as Dover would give me. On to casino. Biggest selection of machines I have seen at casinos. Nice. But, no one in 3 days did I see getting a handpay. I had fun playing the huge variety of machines. Temp at times was freezing in casino. Needed a coat with temps in 80s outdoors. Ate at Sugar Factory. I was placed at back table with lots of empty tables everywhere. I felt discriminated against cause I was single. I had to wash down my hamburger it was so dry. Same the year before. Even though I pasked for a little pink. Next day waited all day for Jerry Longos Italian. Host told me I could eat inside or come back later after making reservations. Plenty of empty tables for 4 on patio. Owner sat me hisself out there when place was fairly new. So, I told her I would go elsewhere. I went to Appleby's , 5 min. from Bally's. They sat me at a 4 seater table. I eat at an 8 seater at home. I call it discrimination against female singles. I think Bally's Dover floor employees and restaurant personnel have an attitude problem. The hotel personnel seem very polite overall. Bally's may end up as Showboat did. As soon as the dogs were allowed, Showboat ended. Maybe Bally's is headed that way. That all I hear from people here in VA. I have been through all the renovations with Dover through the 90s. It is still beautiful in the casino. Too bad , many of us are thinking it's not worth the drive anymore.…

Very large property. No valet or valet parking for the hotel. You can go into the hotel and try to find a bellman to take your suitcase so you don’t have to schlep everything from the parking lot where you park your own car. You can’t check in until, not even thinking about getting a room. Have a seat in the lobby then get in the large queue to check in, kind of like herding cattle. My phone needs a charge but the lamps in the lobby are unplugged because the outlets don’t work. I can hardly wait to see what the room looks like. What a huge disappointment!

The suite was more than expected, with fridg, coffee mess, clean, comfortable beds and a perfect view of the track! The steakhouse served the best filet that I have ever eaten. I had the steak sent back because it was not quite cooked enough for me. Austin the manager brought it back and apologized, He presented a most professional atmosphere.

If the original Dover Downs was an 8 out of 10 The now Ballys is a 2 out of 10. No valet parking. No concierge. They have removed the great coffee and lite snack shop and sundry store from the front lobby. Restaurants have various hours on different days. They have stripped the beds down to that of a very inexpensive motel. Very disappointed will not be back

I have been a loyal customer since 2008 and typically enjoy coming here. However, the Ballys Corporate Machine has significantly changed the way the casino does business. Even with achieving a high card level, you simply do not get the comps that you deserve. A free room and a little free slot play does not cut it. I hear they recently opened a breakfast place--it's about time! You had to leave the hotel to have breakfast which makes it difficult to enjoy the morning. The people are friendly enough, but I feel like their hands are tied and they are not empowered to give loyal customers anything extra. They typically seem apologetic, hoping you do not ask for something they cannot give you. It is also impossible to find anyone in charge to speak with. I will still continue to come, because it is a better option than other casinos, but I wish they would recognize that they need to do more for those who are spending a lot of money there. I’ve never seen so much dust in one hotel room! Stayed with my sister… She was comped a room. Room 462. Dusty and probably the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in. My back probably still has indentations from the springs . Do better, Ballys.

We booked a Saturday night last minute. First time visitors. Room was nice. Found the property clean. Enough food options. Didn’t see anyone win big in the casino. Enjoyable trip. Will return. I feel like my review is adequate, yet TA demands I use 200 characters. Ridiculous.
