Upon check in, we learned we wouldn't get points because we booked through Expedia. That's fine, but the way the manager stated it was super rude. This continued through our stay. We asked for extra towels and were told that when we needed them, we could come back down to get them. Whatever. We arrived to the room and it was fine, just a normal room but the TV had what appeared to be bulbs on the screen. The next day, we went to get extra towels and another pillow and to talk about the TV getting fixed. We we were asked how many towels we needed. We needed 2. The rude manager said that she would have someone deliver the pillow. As for the TV, she would send maintenance up later - we told her we were leaving again soon, so they could come then. We got into our room and the maintenance guy was there to fix the tv. We turned him away because...covid. He had no mask on. 5 mins later, the pillow arrived. Smelling of smoke. We didn't realize this until the next day when my daughter woke up with her hair smelling like a bar. Upon checkout, we weren't asked about our stay. We left. I will be going to Dover in the future and will never stay there again. Such a rude manager!

Hotel's Favorite
We are a retired couple who loves to travel but has had to self-isolate at home because of our age and health. We've started taking short daytrips, but we can't go far because I'm leery of using public restrooms. After research, I felt a bathroom in a hotel room would be safe, so we decided to stay in a hotel just to let us extend our travels beyond a 3-hour daytrip from home. So this was our very first hotel stay since COVID-19 struck. We felt completely safe here, had an excellent experience, and recommend this hotel highly. Our room was very clean, and the door was sealed with a sticker showing no one had entered it since it had been cleaned. Our standard king room was a good size, with a sofa bed as well as a king bed, large desk, and kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher (and dishes and silverware, cleaned and still in the dishwaster). A cooktop and pan are available on request. The Hilton app is a must these days. You can use the app to check in and to choose your room. When you arrive it's your key--it unlocks your room door. When you leave, you can use the app to check out. This means that you don't have to interact with front desk staff at all. Breakfast is fixed to order by a staffer. In the morning there was a line in the lobby for this, and everyone was great about wearing masks and staying 6' apart. Still, we weren't comfortable using this (remember we're high risk), so we went to a fast-food drive-through for breakfast instead. Because of our age and health, we asked for two things that might not be available to everyone. First, we asked for a ground floor room so we wouldn't have to use the elevator. Second, we asked for early check-in, which meant our room had been unoccupied for at least 24 hours before we arrived. When we arrived in our room, out of an abundance of caution we did wipe down all surfaces we might tough with some disinfectant wipes we brought with us. Altogether, we couldn't think of anything in our experience at this hotel that created a health risk for us. It was wonderful to be on the road again, and we really appreciate the steps this hotel took to make it possible for us to travel again safely. We recommend this hotel highly, and we'll be back.

We stayed here on our way back to Pa after a trip to Va. The hotel is very clean with lots of signage for COVID. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy and firm. Didn’t get to sample the breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place.

I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. I really want to like this place but it is really worn down for how recently it was built. Paint is peeling, drywall is missing in the bathroom. Rust and dirt throughout the room. Extremely loud air conditioner and the humidity in the air is high so the sheets are always damp. This hotel just needs a refreshed face lift. Best part of the stay is the how comfortable the bed is.

Stayed here after staying a few nights at another location down the road. Despite both being the same price, the Home2 was much better. The rooms are big, the bed was comfy, and they had coffee in the room (no longer standard with Covid). Its location has lots of restaurants within walking distance as well. Highly recommend this hotel for those staying in Dover.
