From the moment Jason answered the phone, I could feel that this was the place to stay. My husband and I planned a last-minute trip to visit Dewey Beach last weekend. Our air conditioner needed repair and we decided a little getaway was necessary. We called several Hotels to see if there is availability but the second Jason answered the phone at the Atlantic View hotel we knew this is where we were going to stay for the weekend. Jason recommended restaurants around the area to make reservations at as well as things to do in the area. When we checked in, Jason greeted us with a big smile on his face. When we entered the room we were very surprised and pleasantly pleased at how immaculately clean the room was and how fresh it smelled inside thanks to Erica and Eloise. Along with the adorable beach theme decor the room was extremely cozy and the air conditioner worked very well. The hotel was operating under the new Covid regulations therefore breakfast was not able to be served in the main area instead a bag filled with breakfast goodies was given out at a specific time in the morning, Mylasha, did a great job at preparing a yummy breakfast. It was perfect in every way! The coffee machine next to the entrance to the pool was ideal as well because my husband and I enjoy a cup of coffee and walking on the beach in the morning. The day we checked out Jason allowed us to lay poolside and keep our vehicle parked on the premise which was SO nice of him. He even came out to give us cold bottles of water. This place over exceeded our expectations so much so that we just booked another stay. This time Dishonda answered and was super upbeat and kind as well. We are coming back into town 4 days after leaving. Clearly a fantastic hotel and we are so happy we found it. I foresee many weekends and vacations spent at this fantastic establishment.

This hotel is right on the beach and handy for Dewey and Rehoboth. The hotel and room were extremely clean and fresh. All of the staff were friendly and helpful providing a breakfast and evening glass of wine to pick up each day. Very creative given the virus situation. We were really disappointed with the cleanliness this visit. We have been to the Atlantic view several times. It's not 5 star, but it's always been pretty clean and the location is perfect on the beach. We had to wait for our room, they said because of enhanced cleaning. This was the dirtiest I've ever seen one of they're rooms. There was so much hair in the bathroom, there is NO WAY the floor was cleaned. I took my Clorox wipes to the floor and removed the hair and the dirt and grime. The shower enclosure is brand new. It won't look that way for long. The deck chairs and table were filthy. Not with normal sand or salt. With dirty grime and spilled drinks. And please stop putting the decorative pillows on the bed. They can't be cleaned and they're gross. Really disappointed. They offer a lot, like breakfast and wine and cheese in the afternoon and coffee/tea all day. Because of corona virus, this visit the breakfast wasn't buffet style, but pre ordered and picked up in the AM. It wasn't very good and coffee, juice and a quality pastry from a local place would've been better than the egg muffin they provided that was inedible. I ran into the young housekeeper whose name was on the tip envelope. She was nice and sweet and seemed to be working really hard, but she was saddled with an older lady that looked and spoke like a crack head. I'm sure this woman is affecting her ability to work. Love this hotel, but you need to step up the cleanliness, especially now.

I love how close this hotel is to the beach and the ocean. It is clean, close walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants, and offers great extras like hot breakfasts, wine and cheese happy hour and each room has a good sized refrigerator and small microwave. Just loved sitting on the balcony and watching the waves roll in! So peaceful!

We just stayed at the Atlantic View hotel in Dewey beach and I can’t say enough positive things about it!!
I had read that the rooms and bathrooms were a little on the small side, so I was a little worried about space for my two teenage boys, my husband and myself. Although the room was a little smaller than we are used to as far as hotels go, it was still perfectly manageable. We had a room with a king size bed, a queen pull out, and an oceanfront balcony!
I wanted my sons to experience a true beach vacation, and that is exactly what the Atlantic View allowed us to do. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They helped us figure out options to feed our hungry boys after traveling to get there. Restaurants are within walking distance, as are some shops, and mini golf. There are plenty of stores, shops, restaurants, an outlet mall, and plenty of other things to do within just a few minute car ride.
The view from our third floor ocean front balcony was like nothing else! We watched ships sail by, fisherman on the shoreline, boogie boarders and surfers, and even dolphins swim by (you’ll want to bring a pair of binoculars!)
The beach is just a couple steps from the hotel. The hotel provides complimentary beach chairs which was very convenient. Umbrellas are available for rent ($16) on the beach for the day. There is an outdoor shower and area to rinse your feet and gear off before entering back into the hotel. My boys had pockets full of sand and debris so that was very helpful to clean them off so they didn’t track sand up to the room. They really wanted to experience the beach so they only swam in the pool once. The pool was a little small but was never crowded or busy. It was either empty or only had a few people in it at a time. When my boys swam in it, they were the only ones in it at the time.
The hotel offered a daily complimentary breakfast with cold and some hot items available (8-10am). There was coffee, juice, bagels, freshly baked muffins, fruit parfaits, assorted cereals, and a waffle maker. The hotel provided two hot meal breakfast options a day to select from in advance, which were delicious!
Unfortunately, we missed the happy hour (complimentary wine and cheese) available from 5-6pm because we were always off doing something during that time. But we never missed the 8pm complimentary freshly baked chocolate cookies. The aroma of the cookies would travel up to the third floor and we would know it was time to head down to the lobby.
We loved everything about our stay and we can’t wait to head back to the Atlantic View hotel again next summer!

Great hotel on beach with great views from balcony. Great things included such as a yummy grab and go breakfast, wine and cheese and cracker happy hour with cookies for kids, nice small pool, beach chairs. Hotel was clean, staff was super nice, included a parking spot. It was $400 a night so you'd expect to pay that in a nice Caribbean beach resort and it was more of an vintage beach motel that's been nicely renovated but it fit the bill for a nice 3 day weekend getaway in the Dewey/Rehoboth area.

1st time staying. The location and features (oceanfront, chairs, pool) were GREAT. While we chose the city view room v ocean view@ $600, one night city view was ok and we could see our car. While the room is small and the hand sink is outside the bathroom, the Frig and Microwave are a definite plus. We had no problem with the # of parking spots. You can walk to dinner. It's also great that you can check out at 11am and leave your car in the lot until 1pm. Breakfast was HORRIBLE and worthless...wish I could upload pix

The check in was easy! Tom at the front desk was friendly and helpful! Cheese and wine every evening! Then a nightly snack of homemade chocolate chip cookies—my favorite! A hot breakfast is offered along with pastries, waffles and fruit. The hot breakfast is made and packaged for each guest. We had a Westside room which had the parking lot view. The fourth floor has an amazing deck that is accessible to all guests for enjoying an ocean view. Beach chairs are provided for guests. There is a small pool. Everything in the room was clean! This location does not have an elevator, sonic you have mobility issues choose a first floor room. I highly recommend this hidden gem at Dewey Beach.
