Have stayed at the Meadowcroft on many occasions and it never dissapoints. Great location and friendly owners who really know how to look after their guests. Rooms are immaculate and the dining room is a great place to enjoy a beautifully prepared full English breakfast.

Stayed with friends one night this week at Meadowcroft country guest house as a base for walking near Windermere - we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the hotel - clean, well furnished and a great breakfast. Its location is a few miles from Windermere but for good food just 2 minutes walk away is the Watermill...

This nice establishment has not moved into the 21st century- old type lamp bulbs, separate hot and cold taps, no plugs for charging phones etc! The owners gave us a great welcome and changed our room to one with bath with minimum trouble. No A/C but a good fan Easy access to all the PoIs on the lakes.

Stayed at this lovely guest house on 28th and 29th October. Great stay, wonderful breakfast. Ideal place for exploring the lakes. Also ate at the Watermill, great food. Will return, as we had a fabulous wedding anniversary stay. Thank you

The whole Guest experience from the moment we set foot inside the building nothing was to much trouble. The whole place shone. The room view was fantastic over roiling fells. We cannot praise this bed and breakfast enough

We will definitely be returning to this beautiful, quaint guesthouse. The owners are just lovely, we had something wrong with our shower and they ran to our aid immediately. It is in the most gorgeous, little hamlet with a pub and chapel (quintessentially English). It is so close to the lake and has a garage next door with a little...

What a lovely guest house and the owners were so welcoming. The room was really nice, spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lovely walk in the morning before driving into Grasmere. Would highly recommend.

This was our first visit to The Lakes so didn't know a lot about the area apart from limited information from the internet. Not a problem at Meadowcroft, Debbie, Elliot and Rosemary not only made us very welcome but were also a font of local information. As others have said the room (No.9) was immaculate, the breakfast was plentiful and...
