This B&B is the first one I have ever experienced, so not sure if my expectations were too high. We had a room on the second floor, where all of the 6 or 7 room are located. It was a humid 95 degrees outside, and the hallways were stifling hot. There is no elevator, so I needed to lug my... More

There was no room at the inn to stay so we had to be content to eat in the restaurant. But it was no hardship to dine here. Fabulous food in gorgeous setting. We had a memorable meal in a dining room that was elegant yet not stuffy. A nightcap at the adorable bar then we were off. Next time... More

How many times have we stayed here? Let me count the days...and with each stay we find ourselves drawn ever so more warmly into the quiet, friendly elegance of this lovely old inn. A restored mansion that offers comfortable...no that's an understatement, elegant? Not quite right either. Invitingly relaxed. Spacious, well furnished, lovely rooms. Great staff...of course. From a slightly... More

Escaped a few towns over to Woodstock for an early birthday getaway weekend. Decided to stay at the Mansion at Bald Hill to experience my first B&B. Very pleased with the experience! Friendly staff to greet us when we arrived, beautiful decor, spacious room, and antique details that add to the experience. Stayed in the Roxanna room. The only bummer... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in 2014. Outstanding room, food, grounds, staff. Enjoyed many little day trips to surrounding towns and villages. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Quiet, peaceful and the breakfasts and restaurant food were to die for. Any future trips to the USA will include another stay here. Loved it!

Excellent food and service in a quaint old mansion. Our favorite place to eat for special occasions. This is a very beautiful estate. Soon there will be an expanded venue, right next to the mansion. You will be delighted with your dinner.

My husband and I just returned from a weekend get-away at this charming inn. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect place. We arrived on Friday evening just in time to enjoy a fantastic dinner at the inn's restaurant. We listened to live music being played while we enjoyed our dinner. The morning breakfasts are... More

The Mansion at Bald Hill is a beautiful inn set within beautiful country, known as Connecticut's "Quiet Corner". There are lots of wineries, antique stores and other interesting places to visit within minutes of its location. The inn itself was theh summer home of the Pullman train Heiress and is grand. There is a lovely restaurant in the inn (make... More

This marks the fourth October stay for us here in Woodstock at the Mansion at Bald Hill. Each year is easily the same...we pull off the highway, head down the country road and turn up onto the road leading to the Inn and instantly feel pampered. A winding drive through magnificent trees strutting a riot of autumnal color leads in... More

We've dined at the Mansion many times over the past several years with friends who live locally, and are never disappointed with the food or the service. Our experience last night was no exception. Attentive service from everyone involved, including the hostess and the wait staff. Despite a large party occupying the bar area, service was smooth and professional. The... More
