This is such an incredible property, magical inside and out. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and accommodating. We had our breakfast out on the front veranda and enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal (see photo). The exterior and interior were painstakingly restored and look like something out of a movie set.

As we ate our breakfast out front, people passing by would slow their cars to check out the property, as it's such a show stopper, including the well manicured lawn and gardens. If you're looking for someplace special to stay, this is it.

Another really nice element was that we accidentally left some belongings in our room and they were kind enough to promptly box them up and send to us.

The location was appealing as well, within walking distance to the village with shops and restaurants and a short drive to the Mark Twain House and other Hartford landmarks.

We look forward to future visits and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area or a worthy destination in and of itself.

I can't recommend this bed and breakfast enough. Every part of the experience was lovely. The owners are extremely polite and attentive to your needs, and the place is spotless. The house is so beautiful and like stepping back in time, and the beds were very comfortable. You're also a quick walk from the Main street area where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Also, the three course breakfast in the morning was delicious. I will absolutely be going back again!

My wife and I had a fantastic few days at the Silas W Robbins House. We booked this gorgeous B&B as a last minute spontaneous weekend getaway and ended up staying a couple extra nights due to the overall beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. As soon as you drive up to the hotel you can't help but be impressed by the historic architect of the hotel. Upon arrival we were met at the front door by our lovely host Olga who was both very polite and professional.  Our room was spacious and very clean. No fault could be found in the room. Breakfast in the morning was a great experience. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was amazing. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted from the B&B - about 2-3 blocks to the main street in town. We will definitely be returning here in the near future and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area.

The Silas W. Robbins house is stunning inside & outside! It has been wonderfully restored after a fire. We only stayed for one night but it was perfect. Our room was very well appointed, clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and professionally prepared & presented. There is plenty of off-street parking as well. Another bonus is that they have an elevator which is great for those of us who don’t want to carry luggage up & down stairs! It would be easy to spend several days just looking at all of the incredible furnishings & artwork!

My husband and I had a fabulous experience at the Silas Robbins house. First, the house itself is gorgeous and the amount of work that went into this place is astonishing. Immaculate, beautiful decor, great attention to detail. And yet, it managed to feel comfortable. Our host was also fantastic. Welcoming and friendly, excellent service. Breakfast was delicious -fruit, omelette and bacon and pancakes! Complimentary tea, coffee (keurig) snacks and soft drinks were also available all day. We spent one night in the Elizabeth room which was on the third floor. Room itself was small but comfortable; however, it opens into an enormous ballroom and we had the whole floor to ourselves! I just can't say enough good things about this property and the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend a stay.

The Silas W. Robbins house is a gorgeous B&B in beautiful Old Wethersfield. Upon arrival, the exterior of the home is jaw dropping, beautifully painted with gorgeous gardens. We were greeted by Dmitry and given a tour of the beautiful first floor dining and sitting areas. The home decor is beautiful. We were shown to our rooms, which were both beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast included the most beautiful and decorative fruit salad, an egg dish, and waffles or pancakes. We were so impressed with the presentation and preparation that went into every detail. We enjoyed walking the town of Old Wethersfield which was decorated for Halloween and was super cute and quaint. One day, we were supposed to spend the day out, but as it was the end of a 2 week trip, we decided to just enjoy the beautiful grounds of the inn with a bottle of wine and relax on one of the beautiful patios. Dmitry and Olga have maintained this historic home and provided wonderful service. I would highly recommend a vist to Silas W. Robbins house!

Truly a serene haven in CT. Just an incredible B&B stay from start to finish. Dmitriy is the most wonderful host. He called earlier in the day to confirm when we were arriving so he’d be ready and greeted us outside in the rain and helped with our luggage. He gave us a tour of the beautiful house and we loved our rooms. We had the Jane Robbins room which had a beautiful bathtub and the Silas Robbins room which had a desk overlooking the grounds. Every morning he prepared a beautiful breakfast that was a variety of fruit, eggs, and pancakes/waffles over the days we were there. There is a reading room, music room, lots of common areas to read and relax. They offer books, cookies, coffee and soft drinks throughout your stay. They make wonderful recommendations for meals. It was truly a perfect place to stay-calming, welcoming and beautiful. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

My wife and I spent just 1 night at the Silas W Robbins House as we attended a wedding at local winery, but our experience at this beautifully restored treasure will remain in our memory for years to come. The photos peeked our interest, but as you enter the house it is hard to describe the the impact. All the rooms take you back in time and the decor is amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted by Olga and she could not have been more accommodating. She was an incredible host and worked so hard to make our visit a memorable one. Her focus on all the details is second to none. The 3 course breakfast was the best we have experienced at any B & B. We have already recommended Silas W Robbins to many of our friends and hope to visit again as we plan visits to this area.

We spent four delightful days and nights at the Silas W. Robbins House. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The hosts are lovely, gracious people who could not have been more friendly and welcoming. We started each day with a delicious full breakfast: fruit, eggs, bacon, toast, and pancakes or waffles, with coffee or tea and juice. Our room was cozy and comfortable and, as several reviewers have mentioned, they were absolutely spotless.

We were the only guests for three nights of our stay, and Dmitriy invited us to treat the house as if it were our own. We loved exploring the different areas of the house, finding cozy spots to read and talk. The grounds were just as much fun to explore, and so was the neighborhood; the house is located on Wethersfield's historic green, and we enjoyed walking there.

I've never found it so easy to write a five-star review. In fact, it's difficult to avoid hyping this lovely B&B too much. We're already looking forward to another visit.

This place is magical. The inn and its grounds are gorgeous and impeccably cared for and the innkeepers, Dimitry and Olga took care of our every need. Breakfast each morning was delicious and served according to our schedule; every evening after we returned from dinner, Dimitry brought us wine glasses and we played cards at the dining room table. Also, the beds are very comfortable and we all slept soundly. I can't recommend Silas Robbins highly enough, we've stayed in many B&Bs and this one might be our favorite.

Not sure, the main rooms at the second floor has only one bed, but they had other rooms that I had not checked on it. Please feel free to e-mail or talk to the keepers thru their website. They are awesome persons and will give you all answers you need. Sorry for not being of too much help

i can only speak to the one in the jane robbins room. It is spacious and very clean. It has an old fashion stand alone tub as well as an enclosed fully tiled shower with glass door. The shower has both a water fall type shower head and an adjustable hand held shower head. They operate independent of each other. The shower is average size so if you have special needs then it may be an issue. Also it is single (sink) vanity. Finally there are several half baths/powder room throughout the house. Speaking of needs they have a great elevator should stairs be in an issue (all the bedroom are on the second floor)
