Gorgeous building, it gets more breathtaking when you walk in. Excellent property with so much to see and do. We dined in 2 of the restaurants and our experience was fantastic. We also went to the magic comedy show and the Krispy Kreme donuts are hot and delicious! The GAME ON room entertainment, video games and 80's music! The shops and casinos create a great atmosphere.
My husband and I were looking forward to out Mohegan Sun getaway but we were left disappointed and feel as if our money was not well spent. We stayed 2 nights in the Earth Tower. The room looked very modern, elegant and clean however, the beautiful sink features had low water pressure and left residue and soap bits behind in the bowl. The walls in the room were thin and we had neighbors on both sides of us that were rowdy into the late night and early morning. Some were aggressively pounding on doors in the hall. For fear of any repercussions and our safety, we did not notify the hotel staff and the behavior continued both nights. We expected and requested that our room be serviced after the first night but no one ever came to service it. Around 4pm I used the tablet service to request extra coffee when our room get serviced. We did get the extra coffee promptly, but we still never got our room made up. For the premium prices we paid for our trip, I felt as if we did not get our moneys worth out of the trip. Because of this experience, we will not be staying at the Mohegan Sun hotels again in the foreseeable future. We paid luxury prices but did not receive a luxury experience. My complaint has nothing to do with the staff as they were always kind and courteous. Upon check out the lady checking is out was so nice, I didn't have the heart to complain to her about our disappointment in our stay.…
First time at Mohegan Sun. Show Venue was fantastic with easy access to hotel. Hotel room 7th floor Corner was 535 square feet and beautiful, immaculately clean. Used room service - food was amazing and arrived in only 5 minutes when quoted as 30. I had an issue with billing on the mini bar which I caused, and when I called front desk for assistance I received absolutely the best friendliest customer service I have ever received. While not a gambler I will start watching the venue for shows I want to see as this experience was literally perfect and I can’t wait to come again.
Mohegan has decided to stop allowing their top loyal gamblers to win. It is almost IMPOSSIBLE. We ran through $250,000 over six month and got only 5 very small handpays. Previously we would have had at least 50 handpays, some significant. There is no balance to what you give and what they give now. The gifts and offers are significantly less. Additionally the Momentum Program has been adjusted this year so that you will not be able to gain ANY status level without gambling hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you are a minimal gambler fine, but if you are a “high roller” STAY AWAY. You will not be rewarded in any way. Terrible business decision Mohegan Sun, you will lose all your best customers. All Casinos had record revenue in the last year so there is no reason for this. Every high level player is discussing and many are not coming back. Floor attendants, bartenders and other employees all confirm this is how it now is. We never expected to win overall but certainly do expect to win something regularly and not get completely crushed. Take your hard earned money elsewhere. Mohegan Sun has decided to now operate on pure GREED. Not smart.…
Beautiful casino. Restaurants, shops, theater. Can make a weekend get away by staying there for the night or moving to Fox woods Casino, hotel and also visit the museo it's a very nice, I believe both casinos and museo are in proximity maybe 30-45 min apart.
Was scheduled for only a one night stay wound up staying three. Slots were loose (Raining Wilds) in Sky Casino and in Earth Casino (Buffalo Link). The restaurants are on point. Love it here! Stayed in Sky tower 23rd floor. Great views. Only negative is the valet at hotel lobby. Took way too long to get car.
I started going back to Mohegan after a major decline at Foxwoods - (I think previous post must have been at a different hotel because definitely not here. Check-in great, room great (definitely did not hear the people next door like Cedar Hotel at Foxwoods) and food a plus. They welcomed us back, host has been very accommodating to me. Just wish they bring back smoking as the past 2 times, people were literally smoking at their machine in the high slot room in the Sky and that is not fair because no one said anything to them. Meanwhile, I have to have my husband sit at my machine while I freeze outside. You can always accommodate with smoking and non smoking areas & don't understand why you can't bring them back - anyhow, just my opinion but glad I made the move.
Not at all what I was looking for with my stay here. I’ve been to this casino and Foxwoods several times and wow is this place going down hill . I was severely underwhelmed( and embarrassed ) by the staff, food, and lodgings. First off the check in process was smooth and so was check out. The room I had was definitely not sound proof I could here my neighbors next door quite well. Kinda dampened any romantic experience that might have happened. The bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom could use an update. For the price you pay this definitely isn’t upscale or that great. I’ve been to casinos from the Caribbean to Vegas and this was one of the bottom places to sleep, gamble, and eat/drink. As for the gaming and the casino itself little has changed in 20 years. These slots and tables aren’t that great. I wasn’t at all impressed with the quality of the machines or dealers available. Also please let your table bosses know it’s not polite to keep checking out another mans wife to the point she and I were uncomfortable and didn’t wanna gamble any longer. Thanks Mohegan sun!! The two places I had food were both hit or miss. Tom’s watch bar was nice inside but the staff was so so. I asked them to leave a menu because I only ordered an appetizer. They took both away in 3 min kinda rude. The wings I did received were smothered in sauce and kinda over fried. I did go see a show at comix and it was great. The comedian was hilarious the opening act not so much. The food there was great I highly recommend the Philly cheesesteak rolls there awesome. The waiter who served us was fast, friendly, and spot on. This was definitely the only reason this place didn’t get one star. Now for the embarrassing part that I’ll never return to Mohegan again because of. My wife is short and has had knee surgery so the barstools when we go out are too high and I need to hold them for her so she can get on feeling safe. Apparently if you do that the bartenders take it as you drank too much. So after being offered waters and told by the barkeep he wouldn’t serve us we went and had a pizza. Frank Pepe’s is great. After that I noticed a short fellow following us around . We went to a second bar after eating walking and gambling alil more . This is when a very rude manager came up to my wife and said she’s done and gave her water. This was done loudly and in front of fellow patrons. I was very embarrassed so was my wife on her birthday . At this point I was going in the $1000’s that I spent at this time. It was uncalled for. Maybe we should have been engaged more to see if we were drunk. Which we weren’t we had maybe five drinks over 8 hrs and I think my wife had barely 4 cause she never finished one drink at comix. That’s when I decided I was done with this place, went to my room slept and left immediately early the next morning. I did plan on staying at the casino the entire next day but no thank you. At this point I’d like to say I won’t stay here again. I was planning a party for my youngest brother here but we will go to AC or anywhere else. Totally ruined the end of a mediocre stay.…
Spent $500 on a hotel room for a night out and had these people attack us over a minor problem. The man with the beard pushed me on to an elevator (100lb girl). Casino laws aren’t the same as Connecticut law. Beware of these people they think they have special authority and it is terrifying. Will never be back and advise people against going.
If you want some unknown man (not housekeeping or staff, but an actual person off the street) walking into your hotel room bathroom while your wife or children are naked and showering, Mohegan Sun is the perfect place. DANGEROUS for women and children, *hotel staff* let complete STRANGERS into my room while my wife or kids could have been sleeping, showering, etc…. Didn’t knock, didn’t ask stranger for ID, staff simply unlocked the door because a RANDOM person asked them to. The stranger ran off after realizing I was in the room. I alerted security, and after 30 minutes, they came and verified after reviewing surveillance. I had to follow up personally, spent most of my time there helping their security team figure things out. The result? “It’s being handled internally.” They took 50% off the room. They didn’t change my wife for her cancelled spa visit “as a one-time courtesy.” Thanks.…
