I'm not a fan of the Plexiglass dividers at the tables. It makes it very hard to hear your deal and/or talk with anyone else at the table. You also have to wear a mask at all times (it's the "norm" now). They are serving comped drinks while gaming (which Turning Stone doesn't do). The dealers were very nice, the pit bosses were also. Great variety of different slots. I was disappointed that they replace "Ultimate Texas holdem" with "Ultimate Texas holdem bonus", unless hit on the bonus or progressive, hard to make any money. The rooms are very nice and very clean.

Mohegan Sun I loved celebrating my birthday here every year. I've been here more than a dozen times. Not this year. I know Covid ruined everything this year but you really dropped the ball at making my one night away even remotely special. The pool was managed by ONE staff member. The one opening the door and keeping track of people exiting and entering. No one was enforcing any kind of rules. There were babies in the pool with no swim diapers on. Kids throwing kick balls full force. Kids floating on boogie boards. Couldn't get a drink to help relax. No bartender. Couldn't order my kids lunch. No waitstaff. Yes I understand this is during Covid. But like I said, I've been here more than a dozen times and it was cleaner before Covid. The best part is yet to come.. brace yourselves. We go back up to the room, shower and start getting ready to go to dinner. My husband is dressing our baby on the bed and he finds a bed bug crawling inches from our baby. He brings it down to the front desk and they don't even seem concerned. It's like they see this all the time. They offer to switch our rooms and give us a $50 dining credit while they "investigate". What is there to investigate?? We brought you the live bug in a cup!! Needless to say we go to check out and they have more investigating to do and will "call us". Oh and as we are checking out my husband gets harassed about his mask that he has lowered to his chin to take a puff of his asthma inhaler. He politely states that he has breathing issues and that the ADA protects his right but they still continue on even threatening to call security. Wonderful customer service after all the money I spent and all the terrible things we went through. Last visit here. Never again. ****The hotel called to confirm it WAS a bed bug. *******

BEWARE OF HAVING OR ATTENDING AN EVENT AT MOHEGAN SUN!!!! I attended a private event here and was treated horribly by whom I was told was “Head of Security”, Dan Appel. Just so you completely understand the situation, I was a guest staying at the Mohegan Sun. I entered a private club (Novelle) on location for a private paid event, as a patron, part of the event and ordered 1 beverage. It is important to note, I entered with a surgical mask, provided legal identification, checked in and was identified as a participant of this private event. While having a conversation with another participant of our private event, I removed my mask to have a sip from my beverage. I was approached, by Dan Appel and aggressively asked to place my mask on. I said to him, “How am I supposed to drink with a mask on?”. He said, “before you speak with me put your mask on!” Once again very aggressively. I placed my mask on, and asked Dan Appel once again, “How am I supposed to drink with a mask, on? So that I understand protocol and policy” (verbatim) and he said that’s it you’re out of here! Very, confused and legitimately perplexed with Dan Appel’s actions I proceeded to walk towards the exit while asking for his supervisor I spoke with a woman I was told was his manager (name not provided), and explained the situation, and I admit said why is this guy acting so aggressively to your paid patrons including the statement, “why is he acting like an a-hole”, and Dan overhearing says that’s it I’m calling the police, you called me a a-hole! I proceeded to the exit and spoke with Dan Webster, VP of Facility Operations, Ryan McDermott, Director of Corporate Partnerships, Jesse Sturges, Director of Revenue Management since they were all standing at entrance. I met all of these employees upon entering merely moments before my incident with Dan Appel. One of them even stating you’re on the guest list twice, and I joshed with a comment as to my importance to our private event. I spoke with them not only about the issue I had but about how I witnessed Dan Appel berating the participants of our private event within the little time I was there, and they merely said collectively, we were not there to witness and it’s his call. I remained at the front of the venue while other participants checked in their credentials, unsolicitedly attested to my temperament. I waited for Dan Webster, Ryan McDermott, and Jesse Sturges to provide Dan’s full name to me so that I could appropriately document this incident with Mohegan Sun for over 25-30 minutes. They said they did not know the head of security, Dan Appel’s name as there are 3000 employees of Mohegan Sun. Finally John Washko, VP of Expo and Convention Sales comes out and introduces himself as Dan Appel’s boss. I explained what took place to him and of course Dan Appel’s version of our brief encounter was quite different in addition his account stated I was asked multiple times by him and members of the bar staff asking me to place my mask on (Complete fallacy). Whatever you as the reader of this review would like to believe, I am being 100% honest and straight forward about what took place here at Mohegan Sun today only moments ago. If I could give 0 stars I would. BEWARE OF MOHEGAN SUN. DO NOT ATTEND! You will be treated horribly and when asked for help/assistance on how they would like you to follow their new protocols, staff will treat you like they prefer you stay away. So that’s why I recommend. STAY FAR AWAY FROM MOHEGAN SUN!

Well I have to say that I have never seen such a beautiful & clean place. They did a great job handling the COVID-19 situation. Your temperature is checked as you walk in. Everyone is wearing a mask & if you don’t have one, they will provide you with one. Hand sanitizers in quite a few places. And...no smoking allowed which I am hoping they continue that. There were a lot of people too & the machines were actually pretty good. I will be back for sure! Keep up the great work!

The room was nice but beware of the mini bar. The mini bar and snack tray are weight sensitive so if you pick something up to even look at it you will be charged for it. You will then have to call and contest it. I had two adjoining rooms and was charged over $200 for for drinks and snacks that were just looked at. But that's not the worst of it, before I learned about the weight sensitive feature, my other guest and I were blaming each other and it caused alot of tension, which prompted a second call where I learned of the weight sensitive feature. I contested the charges and they gave me a credit for it. So, beware and be careful not to touch. They really should have a confirmation process so when they restock in the morning they can confirm what was billed. I learned some hotels do that but most don't.
