Owner Bob told me over the phone, "You'll never want to leave," when I told him I had never been to the Inn at Mt. Pleasant. And he was right. Hosts Maggie and Bob are warm and welcoming, and their inn is tidy and comfy. Looking forward to my next visit!

This is a bed and breakfast on a lovely property that was once a farm. It is situated for an unexpectedly beautiful view and we enjoyed it fully on a sunny day in early October. The owners are engaging hosts who know the value of what they are offering. That said, I agree that it is priced for NYC, Western... More

Bob and Maggie are extremely friendly and helpful. Bob undertook a major refurbishment of a derelict building and has created a very upmarket house with marvellous views and is justly proud. We had the John Brown room which happened to be the least expensive but what a room. It was large, clean and with a most comfortable bed. The en-suite... More

Really enjoyed our stay, Maggie & Bob welcome you to their home and make you feel at home. Very comfortable, very clean with beautiful views. Although not a cooked breakfast we had a good choice from the buffet. Maggie asked that we just helped ourselves, we did and had a very enjoyable stay. Only downside was that we hadn't booked... This is a superb B&B experience in a wonderful setting. We were there for two days recently. The owners/hosts, Maggie and Bob, really make you feel like you are visiting relatives who like to have company. The property is beautiful and the furnishings and amenities are first rate. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to Connecticut.... More

The innkeepers are very friendly and the location is lovely. The rather expensive room I stayed in was comfortable but not attractive. Breakfast was a real disappointment, similar to what you'd get at Comfort Inn and with no homemade items. This was much less than I expected since the Inn has such glowing reviews.

We just discovered the Inn at Mt. Pleasant Farm as the perfect waypoint between Long Island and the Berkshires. Although we were originally just looking for place to crash between an evening concert at Tanglewood and the morning ferry from Bridgeport, we can't wait to return for a more leisurely stay. Our welcome was warm and the Inn - you... More

Our adult children and their spouses enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well-maintained inn. The bedrooms all have private baths, splendid queen beds, wifi and TVs. All rooms are private and quiet. The beautiful views and relaxed hosts are added bonuses.

The innkeepers, Bob and Maggie went above the duty of mere innkeepers and gave us a stay that was way above normal. No fancy gourmet breakfast, true, but the friendliness and the surroundings more than made up for that continental style meal. There is history all around there starting with the 1760s farmhouse (inn), and continuing on to the birthplace... More

I'm a snob from California, and usually like upscale hotels, but I must say that not only is The Inn at Mount Pleasant immaculate, but also just a calming and wonderful experience. Bob and Maggie were so gracious and warm, opening their hearts and home to my family at a time when we really needed it. I'm a Torrington native... More
