What a gem this is. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Maggie and Bob are the best hosts. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. Wi-Fi and tv in all rooms. Breakfast on the porch overlooking acres of countryside is a highlight. Great property for a family get-together. While in the country, it is an easy and short drive to both Litchfield and Torrington.

We needed a place to stay for a wedding nearby. Maggie and Bob were wonderful. Maggie reached out to me to make early arrival arrangements and was incredibly accommodating. My friend and I only wish that we could’ve stayed longer. The house was incredible and the property was beautiful. Excellent experience and highly recommend. Thank you, Maggie!

I found this property mainly advertised for a great wedding venue. While its true, they surely deserve to be recognize for the excellent Bed&Breakfast that we decided to stay in for 1 night while exploring local. The property is a hidden gem in a very quiet and peaceful property. Maggie and Bob were excellent hosts to our entire family. My kids definitely want to come back and they mentioned it was like visiting relatives. As soon as we arrive, we got a tour of the farm, Bob played basketball with my son and later got a firepit ready to enjoy. Maggie accompany us for a little at night while encouraging the kids to find star constellations in a starry night. Our room very comfortable and clean. The owners are just such pleasant people and make you feel as if you are visiting family. We will definitely return!.

Maggie and Bob are excellent host and the property is very quiet and secluded. We stayed for four nights and felt very comfortable. The entire home was updated and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. You can tell that the owners take great pride in maintaining their home and property. They make you feel as if you are family and are very gracious host. They have great stories to tell and are very kind. We will definitely return back to stay. Thank you Maggie and Bob!

We had a lovely time at the Inn at Mt Pleasant. It is a charming restored farmhouse close to the lovely Litchfield and set in picturesque fields. Our trip was in late fall so the trees were exploding with colour. Our hosts Maggie and Bob were friendly and welcoming and appeared genuinely happy to have us in their home. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and homely. We travelled with a small boy who loved running around in the paddock and playing in the leaves and the barn. I thoroughly recommend The Inn at Mt Pleasant. It was a wonderful way to start our New England driving holiday.

When you do something with love, it affects all who come in contact with it. Bob and Maggie love, and are proud of, their little bnb in the bucolic hills above Torrington. I have stayed there at least three times--to attend a high school reunion and then a family wedding, and most recently, to visit friends in nearby Cornwall, and now it feels as if it is my home away from home. You look out from your comfortable room at rolling green fields dotted with bluebird boxes, their colorful occupants darting in and out. There's a big red barn, once the home of diary cows, that has been restored and outfitted to host private events such as weddings. Guest rooms are comfortable and quiet, with spacious bathrooms. There are muffins, coffee cake, toast, coffee, juice, and fruit for breakfast in the big open kitchen. Bob and Maggie are friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. Bob loves to tell guests about the origins of the farm and barn and the work he has done to it to make it an appealing inn and wedding destination. The Inn at Mt. Pleasant is a treasure.

The night I spent at The Mount Pleasant Inn was quite enjoyable. The hosts Bob and Maggie were great people to be around. The view was spectacular along with the rolling hills and the light snow it was a breathtaking sight. I woukd recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quaint countryside inn with all the modern amenities you could think of.

This was my second stay at the inn, to attend a nearby wedding; it was so nice to be back. Maggie and Bob are ideal hosts, the rooms are comfortable, with spacious private bathrooms, the continental breakfast is just right, and the setting is beautiful, with rolling fields, bird houses, and a historic red barn that is a great spot for a country wedding. In an area where there are few lodging options, this is a real find.

If you have no reason to go to Torrington now you do. And if you have a reason to be in the area or are looking for a venue for a celebration look here. The expansive vistas across meadows and hills revive tired eyes and souls. The interior is beautifully appointed, with good design; super clean and clutter free. And the hosts are lovely, non obtrusive but very available. We loved this place!

This was unexpected in western Connecticut: wide open vistas of the hillsides, quiet solitude and comfortable accommodations. We stayed in the private 'attic' suite on the top floor with a new bathroom, glass block shower, mini bar, and very tall ceilings which made the room feel huge. Loved the colors and details of the renovated farm house. Worth exploring more outside especially during a warmer weekend. Great place for families.
