Spring Hill Inn is a charming c. 1734 Guest House. Innkeepers Diane and Lee, offer 6 guest rooms with private bathrooms in this historic Inn. Our guests comment on the warm cozy feel, attention to detail, and the touches of home that distinguishes their experience from that of a hotel. Guest rooms 1 through 4, have original wide plank floors and woodwork. Guest rooms 6 & 7 are carpeted and are in a quiet, rear section of the house. Our guest rooms feature the same Pacific Coast Down Comforters we have in our own home. We are confident you will feel cozy and pampered in these beds!

Beautiful inn and felt very safe. My daughter and I were there to visit UCONN early the next morning and this Inn caught my eye. It is extremely close to campus which was a plus. Easiest check in and out ever at a place. The beds snd comforters were the most comfortable I have seen at a place outside my home. It is so nice that you can grab a snack 24/7 as they left the items for breakfast out that night and in the refrigerator. The only negative that I had is I wish there was a way to control the heat in our room as it was a bit chilly the next morning when it was 17 degrees outside.

The Inn was very clean. The beds were really comfortable. Modern bathroom in our room. The inn keepers left continental breakfast in designated area downstairs. Checking in and out was easy. We felt safe.
We never met inn keepers though(disappointed). They texted us when our room was ready and we could check in. They texted us information on how to find key to inn and our room. They controlled the heat to the building remotely (cold when arrived.. the thermostat went up to 70degrees in evening… by 8:am next morning the thermostat was turned down to 65degrees. Downstairs it was 60 degrees). The Inn was all closed up downstairs except for one room that had continental breakfast. There were handwritten notes in room giving us information about quiet time, check out, where to find continental breakfast, etc… how to reach them (phone #s). I didn’t find it warm and friendly like an inn should be. The floor boards in our room was uneven…. Not good for elderly people that have trouble walking(my husband).
I feel like we paid too much for what we experienced and got.

Very cool historic inn. The rooms were appointed with comfy beds and antiques. We had a very nice large shower and private bathroom. We never got a chance to meet the owners, we showed up a little late and left a little early in the morning. They don’t serve an actual breakfast. There is a dining room with 24 hr. muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, and Keurig. We will return!

Great lil place. Very clean and quaint. Ladybugs keep you company but we didn't let it bother us Read the fine print and call to confirm your reservation to avoid panicking when no one is there to let you in. Basic plentiful continental breakfast perfect for the inn. Pricing reasonable for the area.

While I literally spent just a little under three hours st the Inn, my stay was a welcome respite. My room was beautifully appointed. I stayed in Room 5. The sheets on the queen bed were the softest I have ever felt! The bathroom was equally well appointed.

I recently stayed here while visiting UConn and had a great experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are nice, and the breakfast is DELICIOUS. In addition to this, we met the owners and they were extremely nice plus the Inn is very close to the UConn campus. I would recommend staying here 100%.

This place is a game changer-- we are local and are so so happy to have a wonderful inn nearby for visitors or special nights away. Currently, there are 2 rooms that are lovely but they are renovating several new ones that will open shortly. We cannot wait. The two rooms they have are already amazing-- the one had a new bathroom, an unbelievably comfortable bed, and a smart tv. Plus, the owners put in incredible personal touches like a basket with goodies, champagne and glasses, and were so accommodating when things were left behind. The private entrance is also helpful for early risers and the price is beyond reasonable. Two thumbs up!

Lee and Diane hosted us in their home in fall 2015 and our experiences were unforgettable! They were extremely lovely and hospitable which made me and my buddy feel at home. They gave us a tour around their neighborhood and Connecticut. Should you decide to stay in their inn, I have no doubt that it'll feel like a home away from home - and a very lovely one indeed. If you are traveling with friends to Connecticut or Uconn, this is an amazing option to consider.

So happy I chose Spring Hill Inn. I had a work event at the UConn sports facilities that went late into the evening and started back up early in the morning so I needed a place to stay close by for 1 night. The Inn was 5 minutes from campus and for an added 2 minutes you could drive through “downtown Storrs” for anything you may need (shopping, restaurants, pharmacy, coffee, etc).
I texted Lee to arrange check in and he was extremely accommodating. He met me at my requested time and showed me where everything was and how everything worked. My room was spacious enough (queen bed and single) with a desk and private bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. The fresh flowers, complimentary water and mints were a welcoming touch. There were toiletries and a blow dryer in the bathroom as well as ironing board and a room fan (AC temp was fine).
There was a coffee station open 24/7 with coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. In the morning a basket of fresh fruit nuts and muffins/cinnamon bread were left for each room. I thought this was an adorably thoughtful touch. The owners were extremely kind and paid attention to detail even remembering my name and checking that I found everything I needed during my stay.
I felt safe and comfortable here. The location was perfect for me as I wanted to have as much time to sleep and as little time to travel to UConn as possible. All of the chain hotels I checked in the area were either too far or had bad reviews. The Inn offered a quiet comfortable night’s sleep and allowed me to get to and from UConn in 5 minutes. Would certainly stay again if needing a place near UConn.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at The Spring Hill Inn. The room was comfortable and welcoming. Nice bed and bedding. Wonderful towels in bathroom. Start the day with a hand delivered breakfast basket (baked goods, fresh fruit), also yogurt, oatmeal and Keurig items available. Lee showed us the Inn and a little about its history which made us feel welcome. We like to hike and there are some trails right across the street for a leisurely amble through the woods. The Inn is a mile down the road from UCONN. Well worth a stay.
