Advantages: Large rooms/suites. Good for families. Free parking. Great location, walking distance to many shops Disadvantages: Old property, gym is not in the hotel. "Business center" is computers in the lobby, not a separate room. Front desk receptionist takes every call on speaker, and it is impossible to concentrate and get anything done.
Our stay was overall very good, the service was satisfactory, but Tyra Dixon was amazing! She left us with a wonderful taste in our mouths thanks to her fantastic customer service. She was understanding, pleasant, and thanks to her flexibility we'd like to have a return visit. Keep it up!
I would've loved to bring my family to this hotel because the living room was huge. It had a pullout couch, flat screen TV, bar area at the kitchen and a full kitchen. The bedroom had a king size bed and another TV. The continental breakfast was ok - lots of starches, some fruit and no protein. The location is great since you were walking distance from downtown AND the train station into the city. Chante (front desk) was fabulous! She was friendly and helpful with our trip to NYC and the beach.
After seeing some of the reviews we were anxious about our stay. We found the staff friendly and helpful, the spacious suites clean, comfortable and well supplied and the whole facility very quiet. Our suite was bright and cheerful and the king bed was fine. The decor was eclectic but so what. Great location within walking distance of many restaurants and easy access to highways.
First the good points- friendly front desk personnel, comfortable bed, adequate continental breakfast (ie cereal and milk). Unfortunately, a loud group partied from 2:30 - 6:00 am on our floor. Every few minutes we'd hear people yelling and knocking on their door or using the elevator. I called the front desk and was told that she'd called and warned them to be quiet but she could do nothing because she was the only person working. She finally called the police. When I called the manager Tara the next day to complain, I was told the person at the desk was new and should've called the police earlier. I disagree. A hotel needs to be equipped to deal with loud people before calling the police. A reputable hotel would've given us a full or partial refund. We asked but were given nothing and were told we could ask for a discount the next time. Overall, a very disappointing experience.…
