Bobby's Surf Camp is the first and original camp at G-Land, operating for more than 30 years and popular by surf legends from the US and Australia. Located on the southeast tip of Java, along the eastern shoreline of Gragajan Bay in a large jungle preserve called Alas Purwo National Park, G-Land offers an unforgettable adventure experience for all level of surfers except first timers. G-land is famous for its large and powerful surf, but there are waves of much less consequence that surfer's have the option of playing with. Surfers from all corners of the globe have made their way to the Javanese jungle each year between March - November to sample G-Land's fantastic waves. The waves such as Kong, Moneytrees, Speedies, Launching Pad, Tiger Track, chicken, 20'-20', and etc. During these months the spot is rarely flat and there is a saying there - No swell in G-Land, no swell in Indonesia', It's a very special surfing destination of primitive beauty and perfect waves. G-Land (Grajagan) is truly one of the worlds great waves, perfect mechanical barrelling waves, not a drop of water out of place - makes your mouth dry just thinking about it. If you are a keen on left handers what are you still doing reading this page - pack your bags. G-Land Java is situated in a very large National Park, and is home to many different species of wild life including panther, leopard, monkeys, deer, reptiles and exotic birds. It is an amazing place and you really feel that you have made it off the beaton track.

G-Land Bobs Surf Camp, thank you so much to all the local friendly staff that goes out of their way to make your stay the best one! We stayed in Superior Cabanas with air con, hot water and super confy bed! Toothbrush, toothpaste, towels, filtered water, bar fridge (remember to bring your snacks from Bali), bed linen, TV which I thought we were not going to use, but after a huge surf session it was very nice to lie down and watch some NatGeographic :) Don’t make eye contact with the monkeys and you will be fine. Watch your steps, some tree snakes around, not venemous, but better not stand on them. Keep everything inside the room, the monkeys are very cheeky, and don’t leave anything unattended in the eating area, the monkeys will get it. We sow them going up the tree with a bag of fins. THE WAVES At the low tide you can surf Kongs (first session), still lots of water there, some nice big take-offs. Just defenently bring your booties, will make your life much easier to go in and out. Ask the locals/Surfers where is the KeyHole, we found to be the easiest and safest spot to get in and out at any tide, they also call the green carpet. ;) Moneytrees is the next session, faster and more barreling, super fun when 4-6ft, then Launching pads which sometimes connects from moneytrees where I got a solid 7ft barrel and died happily inside, and then the narlie but perfect Speedies (if your barrel skills is up to date, go for it, but be careful, suuuper shallow, doesn’t work in the low tide, mid to high only) And if you wanna have an easier surf, and the staff to take you to Tiger Tracks. It’s our last day today and we are already planning to come back here. Ah, remember to get massages, they very affordable and super good. Ask for Paulo or Jackie at the camp. They also great chess buddies, had some good games. And last by not least, Bintang time every sunset after a day of great surf! A really cold beer by the beach wraps up the day like nothing would! Bobs Surf Camp in right at the front of all these breaks. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Terimakasi! 🙏🏾🤙🏾🌊

Year after year our groups heads to Bobbys in G-Land and we have yet to be anything less than completely satisfied. Bobby and his friendly & hard working staff make every effort to ensure our stay is everything we want it to be. The only thing they can't control are the waves but with the most consistent break anywhere in Indonesia at the doorstep, there's not a lot to worry about on that front. One week back and we're already counting down the days till next year.

I have been here twice and loved both stays , the point camp is not open but second camp is great if you want ac they have it , all night with no power outs , food is great good variety they really take good care of you. surf guides point out the do's and don'ts of the point , and you better listen it will make all your sessions that much more enjoyable . make sure to get travel safe insurance this is a very remote area and is not to be taken lightly but with that said it is the adventure of a lifetime .

This was our 4th stay at Bobby's and, with 19 guys arriving on numerous flights at different times on different days from different destinations it was always going to be complicated. The Bobby's Bali office staff excelled themselves (again) with every transfer request met and all accommodation selections fulfilled. As usual, the guys working at the camp were their friendly and accommodating selves going above and beyond to make the regulars and first timers all feel part of the same family. The new 'Executive' villas are great with heaps of room, efficient air con, reliable Wi-Fi and none of the power outages we'd experienced in previous years. If you're looking for a 5 Star experience, don't go but, if you want a first rate surf travel experience, this is still the place. Awesome waves, great people and no hassle. Already looking forward to next year!

Stayed in two story deluxe bungalow was clean and was what I expected for the jungle experience. Food was ok with good size portion meals, needs a bit of love and care to facilities. Friendly staff .Keep door locked and put your stuff away in rooms as monkeys will get in and go through.
