I bought tickets a couple months ago to see Fergie at Mohegan Sun. It was a wonderful show by the way. I started looking at hotels for a Sat night stay and the casino itself wanted $600. Out of my budget, The nice hotels in the area were all booked up, so decided to look at B&B's. Most places require...

Let me first start by saying that the owners Carol and Ted are lovely people. They are knowledgeable about the area and have been doing this for over two decades. They have interesting stories about the inn including stories about how the inn is occupied by spirits. Ask them how they met. If you are looking for perfection, then do...

This place was exactly the way it was described, and viewed! We stayed in the Adalaide room, which was super cozy! There are many spirits at this Inn, and we may have encountered, a few! It seems that Mercy (Adalaide), fragranced our room every time we entered it, we tried to debunk it, but Carol says she doesn't put any...

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Ted,1 of the owners. We were shown around the house. Beautiful! Understand, this is by no means a 5 star hotel but it was such an honest, down to earth place. Cookies, brownies, free drinks..i grew up on well water so it was refreshing. The smell of breakfast wafting upstairs when i got...

This Bed & Breakfast is absolutely amazing !! My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary there this past wknd. The owners Ted and Carol were so gracious and friendly and made it extra special with the wonderful home cooked breakfast to die for! And a special toast of champagne in silver goblets for our anniversary! They had homemade treats...

Based on the website we did not have super high expectations, but we thought it would be worth the try. We were grateful that we were able to get the room for one night on a weekend! The home is set in a nice spot and we enjoyed walking on the property. There was a game room with a pool...

First of all thank you for your thoughts. Although your review is damaging it also helps us to keep on our toes. For other guests that may read your review I want to address some of what you said. We have a grand staircase. It is seven feet wide and is built to the standards of 1754. In 1996 we...

After booking a shoe at Foxwoods for 6 family members, I decided to look for nearby accommodations and make a night of it. I was lucky to find the nearby Captain Grant and booked three rooms for one night. We all could have stayed longer! We enjoyed the comfy beds and great breakfast in a beautiful historical atmosphere. Our hosts...

We stayed at Captain Grant's, 1754 on 7/15/16. I booked it a couple months earlier when I found it at a great price so close to Foxwoods. When we arrived to check in around 5pm on Friday night, one of the owners, Ted, greeted us by name as soon as we pulled in the driveway (I must have noted my...

Beautiful Inn. We stayed in the Elizabeth Room, but had the entire Inn to ourselves for the night that we were there. Drinks and goodies are as advertised, and the breakfast was as good as I've had anywhere, absolutely outstanding. We dined with the owners, Ted and Carol, and lingered at the table for about two hours enjoying the conversation....

Captain Grant's B&B is an absolute delight. Extremely well-run. Delightfully old (very old) house with modern amenities including the recent addition of a to-die-for kitchen and game room with pool table. And the breakfast - wow - the best we've ever had at a B&B. Even the other guests were among the most interesting we've ever encountered at a B&B....
