The Inn At Fox Hill Farm exceeded our high expectations for an amazing romantic get away. The Cottage is magical. So cozy and comfortable, with all of the amenities one could hope for. We loved our bubble baths in the antique claw tub. And the warm fire was perfect for those chilly September evenings. The hike through the woods around the pond was wonderful. We had intended to explore the town during our stay, but could not bear to leave the peace and quiet of the cottage. The best part of this visit was the generous hospitality of Nick and Polly, the innkeepers. From their warm welcome, to the delicious home cooked breakfasts, and the delightful conversations, you couldn't ask for more. We just got home, and have already made our reservations for next time. We can't wait to experience the cottage in every season.

My wife and I stayed in the cottage as an anniversary getaway, and it was perfect! While we usually find ourselves going out and about when the kids are away, we had a hard time leaving the cottage. We spent most of the time sitting out on the back deck enjoying the beautiful, peaceful view, or appreciating the wonderful breeze blowing through the screen doors. Nick, the host, was very welcoming and contributed to a very pleasant stay. The location is great - less than 15 minutes to two vineyards, multiple parks in Woodstock and Pomfret, and the famous Vanilla Bean Cafe less than a mile down the road. My only regret is not bringing my binoculars for better views of the birds!

Spacious and quiet cottage overlooking bucolic fields and pond was the perfect getaway in the Quiet Corner of CT that we love so much. Cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped, including a variety of unexpected amenities that made us feel extra welcome. Our hosts were friendly and gracious, and the breakfasts were bountiful and delicious. We look forward to returning.

The cottage and hosts were lovely. There were plenty of amenities and we were made to feel completely comfortable. The area is quite beautiful with many historic homes and buildings and more stone walls than we could count! Would definitely come back.

Needed some time away from the city, couldn’t believe my luck finding this place. Its located in one of the loveliest areas of New England I’ve had the chance to visit. I stayed in the cottage, which felt like home the moment I set foot in the front door. Cozy, charming, well appointed. The king size bed was super comfortable. I was fortunate to have a few perfect spring days. The cottage felt airy, full of light, with soft breezes passing through the screen doors. I found the view from the cottage deck spellbinding: stately trees, a gently sloping grassy hill leading down to a large pond, the sound of birds and wildlife at dusk. I took my meals and my books outside every chance I got. Worth bringing binoculars to watch the variety of birds that come by. Nick, the owner, made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. He made a tasty, satisfying breakfast each morning - best hash browns I’ve ever had :) Made some time to check out Mashamoquet State Park as well, which had some fairly challenging trails, great for a short hike. Can’t wait to go back!
