The rooms are clean and normal, the food is great ! People are nice and polite. The location is absolutely great, in the morning you can see how beautiful the nature is, with the mountain in the clouds !
The place is really great. If you want to experience the Moldavian country side, here is where you go. The bedrooms are big and cozy. Nice breakfast and the nature is just breathtaking. I think it’s well suited for an escape from the noise and city life. As the other reviewer mentioned, there are insects. But it’s basically in the heart of the nature, what would you expect.
The service of serving the meal was at the lowest level. Also, in the room were different kind of insects and in the morning was noisy because of transport vehicles. The rapport between price-quality for the rooms is one feeble.
I wished I would have discovered this gem a bit earlier. If I had, I had probably shortened my stay in Chisinau and extended it for one night here. Great place to stay, and very close to the Orheiul Vechi monastery. Eventually we came here only for a dinner and some drinks. Was gorgeous nevertheless.
What a location. What a host! If you are in Moldova you have to visit the Vechi Orhei region. If you do, this is the only place to stay. The ambience and food are very rustic and authentic. The host is attentive and will go out of his way to make you comfortable. The chefs and support staff in the kitchen are amazing. The food is authentic and you will inevitably ask for more. We did!!!!. What more can I say. A gem!!!!
I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and rustic place, Casa din Lunca. The rooms were very clean, the view from the room was fantastic, tasty and various food. The only negative thing is that the restroom is only one for three rooms. A big thanks for the hostess, she did the best.
On November 2, 2013 we celebrated our wedding at Casa din Lunca! We were well-accomodated and enjoyed the countryside setting. I would recommend Casa din Lunca to anyone for a quiet, beautiful getaway, wonderful food, wonderful hosts! Also a great place for a festive meal with two outdoor terraces and one indoor great room by the stove if it's cold outside.
I went to lunch at the Casa Din Lunca after a visit to the Old Orchei. We were served passable uninspired food. It was quite warm outside, yet the terrace roof, made of some heat-absorbing material, made the whole point of having a terrace mute. The heat accumulated in the roof and made sitting on the terrace very hot and unpleasant. House wine was not very nice according my fellow travellers - I don't drink. I walked through the rooms, just to see how the place was done up. They seem spacious and pleasant, only thing that seems kind of bad is the bedding on the beds - cheap soviet style blankets etc. If I had to pick a place to stay for a holiday, I'd look further, for something located on a river or a lake.
Casa din Lunca is a nice gateway place 40 min away from Chisinau. Its located right next to the river, not far from Moldova's must see Orheiul Vechi. I visited in the winter so there was not much to do except chill in the warm house. Although there was plenty of rustic heating it would've been nice to have a fireplace. One thing I disliked was the bathroom that you had to go through in order to get to the bedroom.
