Hotel's Favorite
Gorgeous, large new room complete with kitchen and sitting area. Plenty of compliments teas and coffee in the room and really cozy large room for free breakfast off the lobby. First floor room also had very high ceilings. Would absolutely stay here again next time in the area to see family.

BEST hotel in the area! Homewood Suites will exceed your expectations too. We are distance education students in a doctoral program & this hotel’s location, amenities, & staff could not be better.
From the comfortable design to the spacious suites and friendly staff, you will be glad you stayed here. The complimentary breakfast & evening social added unexpected value & even more friendly faces to our stay. The hotel even offers grocery shopping services! Curtis, our wonderful shuttle driver was always friendly, timely & even warmed the shuttle up for us each morning.
This is truly a home away from home & the staff goes out of their way to make you feel like their guests, not just a customer. We won’t stay anywhere else but Homewood Suites when we travel to Yale’s West Campus.

Brand new hotel, super clean and staff very friendly. We have stayed here 2 times now when visiting family in CT and will definitely be coming back.
We choose this hotel because we have a toddler and the kitchen is really nice to have. One thing to note, if you need a room that has a tub/shower, you need to book one with 2 queen beds. All the suites with 1 king bed only have a walk in shower which doesn’t work if you have small children. I didn’t know this when booking, but the front desk staff was very helpful in explaining and changing this for me.

We stayed at this location for three weeks to be close to Yale/New Haven medical offices during my daughter's medical treatment. It was conveniently located for appointments and within a mile or two of many restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Our suite was spacious and provided everything we needed to be comfortable. The kitchen allowed us to cook instead of doing take out every night. We did not use the pool but it looked inviting and was quite large for an indoor pool. There is a great seating area outside with bbq grills. Wifi was strong--online classes and work were not a problem. Especially for a long term stay, having two queens instead of one king in the bedroom was a great option and having two separate rooms was really nice when we had to work. The breakfast area was also a good spot to work if I wanted to get out of the room. Free document printing is also a plus! The laundry room was clean and the gym was well-equipped. A bonus of this location is the free hot breakfast and the evening social. Food was good and though I didn't get her name, the young woman who served at breakfast and the evening social was particularly friendly and welcoming. Twice I had to extend our stay and this was done without a problem. The only drawback to this hotel is that you can't walk to anything; however, if you want to get out for exercise there are a number of parks and beaches within a short drive. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for a long term stay.

I love that the rooms have fully stocked kitchen with pots pans silverware and stove microwave and fridge. The rooms are clean and sanitized. My family and I love the pool area and jacuzzi. They also have nice grounds to relax outside by the fire or play basketball at the court area. The dining room area is really nice too. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!!

Stayed here one night while visiting University of New Haven. Location is right off 95 which is convenient and under 10 minutes to campus. Be aware you may experience road noise depending on which room you choose. It was a little bothersome at first but didn't keep us up all night. Hotel is either very new or very well maintained. Our one-bedroom suite was immaculate except for some hairs we found on the shower curtain which was a little icky. Housekeeping did go the extra mile and made sure we had extra towels as requested, and they even took the time to fold the tissues and paper towels in fancy little arrangements which was a nice touch. There was a good selection of personal care products for us on the vanity as well. Having some lights on and our name up on the TV as a greeting when we entered the room made us feel welcome. Only issues we had were minor and would not deter us from booking here again. The remote for the bedroom TV did not work properly and would not lower the volume below 22 which was a little too loud, however it was 9pm when we discovered the problem, so we did not bother to report it. It was a little disappointing that breakfast only had paper plates and paper cups to use, and it was very very busy as the hotel appeared to be pretty full during our stay. That made it challenging to find a table and to actually get to the food. Breakfast foods were standard items (eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal, etc.) and we were satisfied. Unfortunately, we had some noisy neighbors who let their children run around and yell starting before 6am but that can happen anywhere. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel--you won't be disappointed!

Modern updated interior, well located right off I95 but with plenty of shielding and insulation such that we heard zero traffic noise throughout our three night stay. The front desk was friendly on checkin, and we were placed in a room meeting our requirements of high floor and quiet, away from elevator. The digital key which allowed us to avoid using a physical key was a great asset.
Large indoor pool, large sunny breakfast area. Decent breakfast though they should try to keep food refilled even in the final minutes before closing at 9 am weekdays (maybe a little too early to end breakfast, for people on vacation traveling from the west coast, as we were.)
Room was quite large with two queens in one room, kitchen and fold out queen sofa in the other. Full size refrigerator and two stovetop electric burners and some dishes and pans.
Most importantly, I left behind a suit, tie and dress shirt when I checked out. Panicked as I needed those for a wedding the next day, I called and after some real effort John at the front desk was able to locate the clothing from the housekeeper who was just coming off duty, and they bagged and allowed us to pick up the clothing. A huge relief, found through some effort and everyone at the hotel staff doing the right thing!
We will stay here again when in the area. Very grateful for a pleasant stay and staff doing an excellent job!

Stayed here with my two sons over Presidents Weekend. Overall, a very positive experience. Guests and hotel staff were masked in common areas where appropriate. Hotel was clean, the young woman at the front desk reception was lovely. Our room was very clean. Two queen beds with very soft linens, TVs in both the bedroom and the sitting room. I had to call the front desk twice during our stay, once because one of the TVS wasn't working when we arrived, and once because there was loud music playing in the room next door on our first night. Both concerns were handled swiftly and the issues resolved. The pool is bigger than most indoor hotel pools we have used; clean, plenty of seating, plenty of towels. The hotel is right off of Interstate 95, thus very convenient. Less than 10 minutes to the Post Mall in Milford where there is a Dave & Busters, and less than 10 minutes from Jordan's Furniture, home to the amazing indoor adventure ropes course, "It". Everything about our stay calls for 5 stars ... however we are checking out this morning, and I thought breakfast ended at 9:30, so I went downstairs to get something quick. The breakfast area was blocked off; there was a woman from the hotel working in that area. It's a Tuesday morning and there was one table in the seating area taken, otherwise the lobby was empty. Eventually the woman acknowledged me with "We're closed". I asked what time they closed, and she said 9:00. I looked at my phone and it was 9:02. Fair enough, it's entirely possible that I didn't remember the breakfast times correctly. However .... there were still bread and bagels sitting out from what I could see, and I am sure the hot food hadn't been put away in the 1 minute since closing. Guest Services 101 would have suggested a more appropriate response of "I'm so sorry, breakfast just closed. Can I grab you some cereal or toast?" or something similar. But alas, I was 2 minutes late to an otherwise empty breakfast buffet so I am off to find my own food. A little gesture can go a long way, and unfortunately this is the memory I will have walking away from this hotel.
