Saybrook Point Resort is the perfect getaway spot. I’ve stayed there with my husband and again with friends and highly recommend it. The staff is well trained, responsive and respectful. The restaurant offers a lovely assortment of choices for every mealtime. And each meal was exceptional. The spa is a retreat within a retreat, with a relaxation room that provides a quiet restful experience before & after a wonderful service. If the resort is suffering from the staff shortages that other destinations are complaining about, It was never obvious to me.
Stayed in the three story guest house and the place was stunning. No skimping on decor and views take your breath away along with the gorgeous gardens and historic feel. Will be going back with good friends and family. Its a little costly but so worth every penny, so splurge you will not be disappointed.
We spent two nights at this hotel while attending a wedding there. Everyone who works there was extremely nice and professional. The day after I checked in, the person at the front desk called me by name! I appreciated that the staff is trained in these kinds of niceties. Our room was terrific. We faced the marina and that was beautiful. We had a King size bed set into an alcove. But there were two separate sitting areas in the room which was very nice. The bathroom was large with a double vanity. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious. The food at the wedding was also wonderful. The location is great and convenient for a walk along the beach. And the gift shop had lovely items! I enjoyed everything about our stay here and hope I will have the opportunity to stay here again.…
This is a consistent getaway for me and my girlfriends! The food at Fresh Salt is delicious, the rooms are spacious, my massage was lovely and there is lots to do in Old Saybrook. Love, love, love this inn! And I can even bring my dog! Would recommend to anyone!
Our stay at Saybrook was such a great time, mainly because of the attention our Airedale Terrier, Judy, received. For such a beautiful resort to make our dog feel so right at home was beyond amazing. Meanwhile, the views from the room are breathtaking and everything is clean and kept in tip-top shape. The staff is super friendly and accomodating. Perhaps my only minor complaint is the speed of the Wi-Fi. I know that's not my primary reason for staying at such a beautiful place, but the service was slow enough that I found it more advantageous to switch to my cellular hotspot. Just something to improve upon! I just love this place. In a great spot along the CT coast to get to many places during our trip.
We are always happy with our stay here. Staff is great. We went to the Sunday Brunch which was very good. My only complaint was the "buffet" items were luke warm at best. I realize that is difficult to have warm food but not overcook, however dishes such as stuffed sole are not good cold. A few areas of the building could use some updating including the indoor pool area. Great place for meetings, showers and special occasions, and weddings! My daughter was married here almost 10 years ago! The bed and linens were great. The room was very clean.
Attended a two day conference and my room in the pink house couldn’t have been lovelier. Beautifully appointed with view of the water. Dinner the first night was delicious. The service was very slow. There were 12 of us. We sat at 7 and did not receive our cocktails until almost 7:30. We ordered appetizers for the table which took a while and they did not return for our order dinner until after 8 and it was not served until 8:45. The next night we were seated on an unheated porch at round tables with plastic chairs. Again the service was terrible. It again took more than 10 minutes to take our drink order and another 20 to get them. I actually went to get them off the bar where they were sitting for more than 10 minutes. One woman ordered tea and was given a small cup of hot water with a teabag. No saucer, nothing to put the used teabag on except the table. It took two requests for her to get the honey she wanted. She finally requested a pot of hot water and a saucer. Dinner was very slow in coming and it was 9 before we were ordering dessert.…
This was our 5th time at the Resort and our second time staying at one of the cottages. If we are able, we will choose to stay at the cottages every time. The rooms are spacious, spectacularly equipped with luxury amenities - bathrobes, balconies, common sitting rooms with things like a pool table and poker sets, a communal kitchen with ample breakfast snacks, coffee and tea as well as a refrigerator if you don't want to store something in your room fridge. The bar is open until Midnight with plenty of staff to serve you and there are lovely activities all at your doorstep. The view out over the water is just the cherry on top.
We adored this place. The right combination of carefree but attentive. Beautifully appointed luxury king waterview suite. Nice lounge bar. Sensational breakfast that I am still thinking about. Comfy bed- quite possibly the quietest hotel I have ever been in. Great shower and jacuzzi tub with outstanding hot water and soft robes. Welcoming to our Lab and Anatolian Pyrenees. Super convenient shuttle to Main Street for dinner and back. I can’t say enough wonderful things. A magic rekindle overnight.
Lovely location. We were disappointed that that the pool was closed on Friday. We had a fire place in our room, however, it was not functional. The grounds were nice. We enjoyed our views of the ocean.
