Very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. In-room fireplace adds warmth. The room was extremely clean. Slept like a baby. Enjoyed a hearty complimentary breakfast the next AM. Staff was attentive and welcoming. Will be back!

I love the Old Lyme inn. This was my second time visiting and each time, I am more impressed. The staff are really great. They care for you like you are home. They are real people who are invested in their jobs. The ambiance is relaxing and warm. The room was beautifully furnished and bathroom, lavish. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

I need to say the restaurant was really busy. It went down hill from there. The reservation, made in person the day before our visit, was inaccurately recorded. The room we asked for was full. They offered us a table in 45 minutes. We had extra time and agreed to wait in the lobby and requested a server to take a drink order. We sat.....crickets. We went to the bar and ordered our own drinks. We watched tables turn over in our chosen dining area seating other parties before us. After a short discussion we chose to be seated in an alternate space with open tables.....we had lost confidence that our wishes would be met. We had many changes of servers with 2 waitress and a bartender swapping duties. The menu looked delicious and the meals were delicious but one of our party found his main dish on the cool side. He decided not to sent it back to be warmed fearing his meal would disappear in the ether. With our meals eaten we waited what seemed and eternity for our dished to be cleared. One of our party asked a passing server, not ours, to send someone over to take our dessert and coffee requests. When that was completed only one member of our party ordered dessert....Boston Cream Pie. After 10 minutes the server returned to our table to inform us no more Boston Cream Pie. The offended party responded, "of course there's no Boston Cream Pie." Maybe the restaurant was understaffed. Maybe the head waiter called out sick because no one seemed to be in charge, no one apologized for the atrocious service, no form of adjustment was offered and it is not an inexpensive place to eat. The jazz was outstanding, as usual, but will never dine here before a show again.

We just loved this place. Absolutely immaculate! We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner one evening and also Sunday brunch which we ate outside as the weather was wonderful. The breakfast choices that went with the room were more than enough. People were so friendly and helpful. Loved the area.

We've been here many ties over the past years and have seen a lot of transformations, but have never had any major problems, and we are generally very happy with accommodations. We'll keep coming back, I'm sure
