Here for lunch with friends after an overnight in Saybrook. This "old house" is totally charming, and kept much as I suspect it always has been, but with the addition of the "necessaries" for contemporary diners. (Prime example: A lift that raises wheelchair guests to the dining room. Only a few steps, but if you don't do steps, period, this...

I would go again in a heartbeat. We had received a gift certificate from my sister for Christmas because we love jazz so I was keeping my eye out for the show I wanted to see and decided on Ricky Ford. Julie at the Old Lyme Inn made all the arrangements for me on the phone for the room and...

The Old Lyme Inn accomodate our rambunctious family over the weekend — and the friendly, small staff did everything possible to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We found there to be a nice mix of old and new: a 19th century building but with blazing fast wifi, antique beds but electric fire places and modern thermostats, charming country decor...

We were gathering for an important family occasion and a friend had offered to let us stay in her empty home. But I thought it would be nice to be able to enjoy being in Old Lyme, and stay in a lovely Inn. It was the right choice-- so lovely and relaxing and worth it! Julie at the front desk...

I was expecting an old smelly hotel. You know the type. I was pleasantly surprised! We had a recently renovated room and it was fantastic! I loved the fireplace in the room. I highly recommend that the hotel take new brightly lit photos of the rooms so that customers can see how nice the rooms are.

I arrived at the hotel a little after 6:30 p.m. and everything was dark and locked. I went to the main entrance and the sign said that they were closed but listed a number to call. When I called the number, a woman answered a little irritated blaming me for being late and that she would get there in 25...

Staff was very friendly. The room was pleasant and spacious. The location was convenient for walking. Food was very good. We visited the Florence museum across the street, the Jazz event and did a walking tour. All were very worthwhile.

Decided to go to the jazz show at The Side Door about 2h before the show. Outstanding hospitality--a quick check into the room and then indoor walk to the show. Great venue for a show--intimate with great acoustics. Then another short indoor walk to a great night sleep in a spacious room with a fireplace. Delicious brunch the next day....
