great place...highly recommended...great staff all around...great service...dog friendly+++...pleasently surprised...great value...really enjoyed it....50 minute train ride to NYC...property is good but a bit dated...highly recommended!!!...great value...
Requested early check in and told by manager would not be a problem so we arrived early. Not only wasn't room ready early, wasn't ready at check in time. Then had to give us a different room. Hotel felt extremely understaffed. Restaurant not open but should have at least had coffee in lobby for guests. Room needed updating. Front desk staff were pleasant and were trying hard to accomodate but think this was a constant problem given all the people waiting in lobby for their room. Restaurants not open but should have had at least coffee served in lobby.
I enjoyed my stay here more than I have any hotel I have stayed in. The view was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly. I loved that the hotel was quiet and seemed more homey than a normal hotel. The room was perfect and very clean. I will 100% be staying here again the next time I'm in the area for a meeting!
The hotel staff is pleasant, but my room was so far from the elevator it might not have been in Connecticut, and the bathroom absolutely stank of mildew. Due to Covid, amenities were limited, but that is not something I’m faulting.
The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. Though we felt there should not be a fee for room service since the restaurants were not open, nor was there any restaurants close enough to walk to.
The room was decent, but with the restaurant and bar not open the hotel had an offseason feel to it. I'm not sure what pre-Covid service levels were, but they were not what I would have expected from Hyatt. My room went uncleaned one day, the roll away bed was not delivered as requested and then left in the hallway, and our bags were left in the room after checkout when we had requested they be put in storage. This resulted in a stressful search when we were ready for departure. So, all in, there were service glitches but I would say they're all fixable.
The excuse of not making your bed, cleaning the bathroom and providing coffee due to Covid is just not accepted as in this business trip I stayed in 2 NYC hotels and both provided those service and I didnt pay more.
There were three things that were OK in my three days attending a convention. The bed was comfortable, the food was good, and the staff was friendly. Everything else was horrible: the very low water pressure; the hole where the fridge belonged; the defective latch on the closet that was positioned poorly, and the plastic disposable cups -- oh, and the complete lack of maid service.
Hotel looks great. Staff was great. Not too pricey. However, room maintenance was lacking - missing shower liner, leftover socks from previous guest, no courtesy pen/notepad. Can hear party noise in room. Breakfast not included. Self parking were extra, but we were not charged.
The hotel was very nice and rooms were clean, however they charged us an extra $25/room for early check-in. In addition they charge $20 for self-parking in the back of the hotel. There is no restaurant or bar in operation at this time, delivery service only.
