we booked last minute on Expedia; a villa for 2 with king bed, kitchen, bath, etc. These "villas" are rental or time share properties detached from the Inn but within walking distance. They are dated, our first room was musty, door jams rusty and carpets stained. While we were inspecting the room a realtor entered who was getting ready to... More

The spa at Norwich Inn has the most relaxing atmosphere and friendliest helpful staff. I've never been disappointed with the spa, the staff or the restaurant. I live in the area and visit the spa as often as possible. My husband purchases gift cards to give me at the holidays and it is my favorite present!! Prices for the spa... More

I love this inn and have stayed in the main inn and the villas. The villas are private and spacious but you do have to walk or drive to the main inn for meals, spa, cocktail...... so depending on the weather and your preferences, this is nice option. Travel Sunday Thursday and ASK for any discounts or specials / upgrades.... More

My friend and I stayed at the Inn. Keep in mind that this has been an Inn since 1929. It is both historic and lovely. We had a mini suite with very nice furniture. There was a living room area with a TV and a bedroom with a king sized bed and another TV. The bathroom was large and very... More

The Norwich Inn and Spa was a wonderful getaway... went with two friends for a spa day and stayed over. Room was comfortable, large (ask for a country suite) and grounds were lovely to walk in the early morning. Very convenient to Mohegan Sun casino, we went several times to enjoy their restaurants and Wednesday Wine night. we got a... More

Do not stay in the villas. My friend and I drove over three hours and ended up leaving. The first villa was under construction on the outside and the inside had very strong unpleasant fumes from the varnish and paint. The next villa that they showed us smelled like rotten food or a dead animal. They should not have offered... More

I have been to this spa 6 times over the last handful of years, including in August of 2013. I see a lot of good reviews here, but a few bad ones. It has been about 8 years since I stayed in the Inn, but I can say that, when I did, it was delightful. As far as the spa,... More

I'd heard good things about the Inn before- very few of which have proven true. Upon arrival, I noticed the meticulous landscaping and misleadingly well maintained grounds. They are gorgeous. The inside of the rooms- both condo and Inn- do not follow suit. First of all, each room we relocated to (3 total) smelled musty- not unlike Nana's mothballed basement.... More

I honestly did not know what to expect due to the mixed reviews! But WOW, was beyond surprised at how wonderful everything was! It was the prettiest, cleanest, loveliest place ever!! I am really perplexed as to how anyone could give this place a bad review. The food was excellent (never had fresher salads in my life!) the service was... More

This hotel had everything I was looking for on paper for a quick getaway weekend with my husband. I was so disappointed! The room was so outdated and ugly. The first thing we did was take off the floral comforter from 1980. The toilet pipes made noises every 20 minutes. The outdoor deck was filthy with cobwebs. I did not... More
