Guests also enjoy visiting the plentiful craft beer breweries and wineries nearby.
Our visit to the Manor House was so relaxing - the property is absolutely stunning, and there is an immediate sense of peace and calm as we entered the building. The renovations are incredibly tasteful and beautifully done. Every detail of our stay was cared for, so many thoughtful amenities in the room and throughout the property which made our stay immediately enjoyable. We loved noticing the charming touches - from the coasters in the dining room to the adorable references to Alice in Wonderland - and the historical connection of the Manor House to the surrounding community. The bedding and linens were luxurious and gorgeous, which made us feel so pampered! Breakfast was delicious and beautiful, the breakfast room was so lovely and the vibe is really welcoming, you could see that the other guests were relaxed too.
I attended the free concert at the music school and it was wonderful - that unexpected event also added to our enjoyment! I highly recommend taking advantage of the music festival.
We had a lovely time and can't wait to go back! We plan to make this an annual ritual! It must be stunning in the fall - hope we can make it back for that season. Thanks to the staff for making it such a memorable stay.
It's always delightful when guests see and appreciate the fine details that go into the creation of a hospitality property. Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review. We are so pleased you plan to return, and we look forward to sharing more improvements as we continue to renovate!

My sisters and I stayed here this past weekend and everything was perfect!
We booked at Manor House 2 years ago when we had bought tickets to a concert at Infinity music hall and then the pandemic happened, the concert was postponed 3 or 4 times and each time Kristen and Adam were so gracious in moving our reservation. Finally we were able to go 9/26/21 and stayed over. I had not looked at any pictures online prior to going, so when we got there it was a lovely surprise to see the beautiful estate and grounds. The common areas were roomy, beautifully decorated and sooo comfortable to relax in. Kristen and Adam were perfect hosts, making us feel welcome and providing helpful information about Norfolk restaurants, the music hall and even the walking path to take from the Inn to the concert venue. Our rooms were spotless and also decorated beautifully, amenities like bottled water and personal items in the bathroom, along with big white fluffy towels were present. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious and Kristen and Adam were so pleasant to converse with. I would give this Inn beyond excellent ratings if I could. Thank you Kristen and Adam for providing us with a wonderful stay at your exquisite Inn.
My wife and I stayed here for two nights when we were in Norfolk for a concert at the Infinity Music Hall, and we had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were excellent, and it was interesting to talk to Adam and Kristen about the history of the house and its architectural features. We stayed in the Spofford Suite which was the original master bedroom of the estate. It was elegant. We also had a fantastic meal at the Old Inn on the Green Restaurant that they recommended. Western Connecticut got nearly a foot of snow during the second night we were there, but in the morning, the driveway was neatly plowed and Adam even cleared the snow around our car for us. They truly are superb hosts. We will definitely want to stay there again next time the occasion arises for us to be in the area.
Thank you for the great review! Norfolk is Connecticut's winter wonderland and we're happy to provide an escape even during the colder months! It's a joy to share the history of the property with others who appreciate the architecture of the manor house as much as we do! We hope you'll visit again, perhaps during fall foliage season; there's never a shortage of things to do in the area.

Such a beautiful house and property, even in the rain. We were in the French Country suite and it was beautiful. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, and we were treated very warmly by everyone we met. It was nice to hang around having some wine and playing cards at night. I'd like to return to sit outside and enjoy the firepit!

Lovely stay with top notch accommodations. Rooms were well appointed. Gourmet breakfast was delicious. Grounds were well maintained. Right in historic Norfolk. We attended a show at Infinity Hall, and this was the perfect complement to the weekend. Also enjoyed local wineries.

Delightful place to stay in Norfolk. Wonderful hosts and generous, delicious breakfast. Very comfortable room with good heat, good water pressure and lots of hot water! Cozy public areas for reading or visiting. Very well-maintained interesting historic residence. Walk to town or around quiet neighborhoods. Would be more than happy to return.

Very comfortable room, outstanding breakfasts...only negative was the air cooler in the room, very noisy; even with the ear plugs they provide. In cooler weather, not needed, so would not be an issue

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. So glad you found the room and breakfasts enjoyable. Unfortunately with an historic home, central air isn’t a possibility, so the portable units are our only option, and we did invest in the quieter units (though it’s all relative)… We appreciate your candid feedback and we hope you’ll visit again in more temperate months.

Outstanding hospitality from Janine, Nathan and crew. Loved my room in the eaves, super comfortable bed and slept very well. Inn is beautiful and common areas are spacious inside and out. Eggs Benedict for breakfasts ranks with the best I have ever had. Highly recommend
