My husband and I just returned from a two-night getaway, and we are already planning our return visit. Kristen and Adam are the nicest hosts, the inn is lovely, inviting and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Delicious breakfasts, lovely and peaceful grounds, and close to lots of things we like to do - hiking, biking (we used the inn's bikes), wineries and breweries (check first, because schedules are erratic with covid-openings). We only with the Infinity Theater was open but hopefully, next time!

What a treat to spend time around Norfolk and have such wonderful Hosts and Accomodations. I can’t say enough about the atmosphere in this Inn. It was cozy and welcoming. They made us feel at home and were very attentive to our needs. Our very large family needed a place where all of us could meet and enjoy time together. It was perfect. The Breakfasts were also amazing from the Blueberry Panckes, Frittata to the Orange French Toast and Bacon with fresh fruit! You won’t go wrong here!

We went to a show at Infinity (less than 1/2 mile walk down a quiet street) and spent the night this past Saturday at the Manor House. Kristen met us at the door and showed us around and then left us to our own devices. There was a welcoming fire in the lounge area and as our dinner reservation wasn't for a couple of hours, we read, listened to music and had a glass of wine in the common area. Kristen came out at one point and we spoke with her at length about her family and the property. Our room was the french suite and it was just delightful. While we didn't partake of the soaking tub, I can tell you it was huge! Breakfast the next morning was soooo good...prosciutto egg cups with homefries and toast with local homemade jam. Fresh juice and coffee and tea. We headed to our car to leave and unfortunately discovered a flat. Adam came out and not only offered to help change it but also called a local mechanic who got us in but it would be about an hour or so before we could get the tire back. Adam and Kristen graciously allowed us to stay at the inn until the car was ready. A very nice touch of kindness. Remember that this is an older property. The original steam radiators are in use (even though they also have electric heaters you can use as well) and can make some noise but personally I think that just adds to the ambience. It may be an older property but it is meticulously maintained, clean and so very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

I felt welcomed from the moment I entered the Inn until the time I departed. Kristen and Adam were the most hospitable innkeepers I've ever encountered. Attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging during my stay for a weekend writers retreat, they made the experience special. I feel like I made two new friends. Whether it was Adam tending the fireplace or Kristen replenishing our cheese and crackers platter, they pampered us with wonderful accommodations, comforting breakfast and overall service. Stay for a night pr two at the Manor House Inn and see how this place adds to the charm of Norfolk, CT!
