This place was on a hill overlooking Lake Waramaug. If you stay here, you can use their private little beach like we did. Very busy place, busy staff, lots of weddings here and busy restaurant. The room we had was perfect. Large comfy bed, tv, dvd, private bathroom, views of the surroundings and was very clean. I would stay here... More

I haven't had the chance to stay here yet, but we had lunch here Oct. 2015. I give this place a 4 out of 5 for location. The food is pricey, but everything my husband and I had for lunch and dessert was good enough I guess. I know it's sad for some people to cut down trees, but the... More

I visited for the second time to have brunch with friends. We had to arrive before 10 am for breakfast. There was a wedding party occupying one room with a nice view. They offered us a dark room and table. This is a very nicely situated restaurant with beautiful lakeviews and outdoor dining if you are lucky to get i.... More

We visited the Hopkins Inn for Father's Day and as usual had a very nice dinner. The location is very special..sitting atop a hilltop overlooking the lake. The outside patio is the place to be. A huge chestnut tree shades the patio. The menu is not extensive but we have yet to find something we did not enjoy. The service... More

We've been experiencing the Inn, and continue to do so, for over 45 years. We would highly recommend Hopkins Inn as a venue for dining, special occasions/functions, and overnight accommodations. The lunch and dinner cuisine is typically a traditional blend of individual Swiss and Austrian fare, with weekly specials, in addition to a few familiar steak and seafood offerings. The... More

We had dinner reservations for a recent Saturday night. We had requested outdoor seating(which I highly recommend), but we were rained out! We were given a table for two inside. Our waiter was very nice. I had the scallops and my husband had the salmon. Both dishes came with nicely steamed carrots send green beans as well as their house... More

We had a great time staying at the Hopkins Inn for 3 days. We haven't been here for years when we came with our son on the trio back from Maine. The owners are so nice and the food delicious. Would highly recommend this Inn any time of the year.

Beautiful inn overlooking a lovely lake but the lunch left a lot to be desired. I had a shrimp salad....it looked so pretty. It was supposed to have a raspberry dressing but all it had was some tasteless oil. The "pinot grigio" was of the poorest quality. Pretty view....disappointing lunch.

The Inn seems like a big old house that has been converted into an Inn and restaurant. Our room (9) was large with a comfortable bed, television and spare bed - all clean and neat, with dated decor, possibly on purpose. Nice, comfortable, clean, good location to the lake. Lovely setting. Good value.

We recently drove up to the Hopkins Inn and just had lunch. The Inn is situated in a beautiful location for patio dining over looking Lake Waramaug. The view from the patio of the lake is excellent and we very much enjoyed the food. Serving time for lunch is indicated that it is only from 12 to 2 so most... More
