Hope this is not too late. I doubt there is ANY public transportation to the Inn (and you'll appreciate having a car to tour the area. Wonderfully, charming area (and the drive is great fun).

If you meet them in Danbury (about 55 min for them, 2 hours for you), you'd have another 40 min drive to the Inn...
