My wife and I were doing some genealogy in the New Milford area and spent a night at the Homestead Inn. Our experience was completely delightful. We were happily greeted by the inn keepers. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We were given helpful dinner recommendations. Our night's sleep was excellent and breakfast in the morning was terrific.... More

My mom and I traveled to New Milford to go to the Elephant Trunk flea market (shown frequently on HGTV's "Flea Market Flip.") The inn had recently reopened after renovation and new ownership. We stayed Friday-Monday and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in the Monroe suite that had a king-size bed, closet and dresser and the bath was a good... More

I was visiting relatives in New Milford, and just needed a simple room for myself. So booked at The Homestead, they have the perfect room for one! The price is right, the Inn delightful and immaculate. Bob and Renee are great Innkeepers and serve a delicious breakfast. I have booked again for this week, and will stay in one of... More

A magical restoration of an historic home. We truly appreciate the expense, effort and love that the new owner has invested in this old gem! We stayed in the Horowitz Room. It was beautiful, well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The rooms are all so beautiful that we would like to experience each one of them especially The... More

Thank you Jim, for your very kind words. You and Kathy were a delight to host and it was such a treat for us to be able to swap stories with fellow innkeepers. Tell Kathy the next time she comes Bob will make her his homemade waffles with fresh strawberries and custard sauce! More

Clean, New, Well Decorated, and very accommodating staff. I understand the Inn had been closed and new owners just reopened after completely renovating. The Inn is beautiful with original wood floors, wood ceilings, and moldings. New furniture and mattresses!! Very comfy beds. We had our own bath and thermostat in our room. Flat screen tv's and free wifi. The breakfast... More

Newly renovated, new bathrooms, beds, in-room quiet a/c, new flat screen tvs. Small, yet charming rooms. Quiet location, near town green. Near, but uphill walk to Canterbury. Wonderful breakfast and very accommodating, friendly staff. I would definitely stay again.

Bob, What a treat for Renee and I to have you and the rest of the group from Canterbury School as our first guests in the newly re=opened Homestead Inn! You were truly a delight and there have been many times when I have decided to move the chairs off the porch to look at the stars just as you... More

We stayed overnight to avoid a late night drive home from the area after a dinner party in the area. We were "upgraded" to a suite, room 4. The bedroom was fine - bed a little soft for our taste, but pretty comfortable. The bathroom looks recently updated - very clean and attractive. The "living room" is big, and quite... More

We highly recommend this inn!! You will not be disappointed! The staff was so friendly and hospitable! We will definitely stay there again. The food was delicious. We were there for a funeral, and they could not have been more gracious to our entire group

Our third grandchild was due sometime the day before or after Christmas, and our son and family live in New Milford a mile from the inn. We live about 1 1/2 hours away but wanted to be there to stay with big brother and sister so we tried the inn in September and it worked great. Each room has its... More

As I say all the time, we love our regular guests! We're so pleased that you returned in Dec. and that the grandkids enjoyed visiting and spending time with you on the premises. We love having children here and would like to encourage more families to stay with us. In an effort to do that, we've added some more toys... More
