Check in process was absolutely painful. The specific room that we reserved through Expedia with 2 double beds was not available, even though that is what we booked and paid for. Had to take a room with a king bed. Room is clean and has a nice kitchenette.

We stayed in the loft room it was more like an apartment very spacious and well maintained. The area is gated so you need a key to even park your car on the premises. I would definitely stay again. I highly recommend this place.

This place is not as clean and modern as the photos suggest. The suite we had was tucked up at the back of block 3.

It was a ground floor and was dark. There was no sofa in our room - we missed that.

The room was big, with a full kitchen - although dated! Fridge was large though. We used the dishwasher and it leaked not badly but enough ti warrant cleaning up.

The location is a little bit away from Downtown you will have to drive!

This place looks like it must have been very nice when it was newer but it has not been well maintained. The first room we got smelled like smoke so we had to go back and get another room. We had a nice sized room with a sitting area, kitchen, and tv. There was mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. The wall paper was coming off the wall in the bathroom. There is no maid service available and the towels do not dry out because of the humidity. You only get one tiny shampoo and one tiny conditioner so you have to keep going back to the front desk to beg for more supplies. When you go down to breakfast there is no one at the front desk so you have go down a different time to get dry towels and supplies. The room did have a nice kitchen set up with plastic silverware. It looks like there are homeless people staying here as i saw them loading up plastic bags with food at the breakfast buffet.

The bathroom towels are the size of a bath mat and are $1.99 from IKEA. The wallpaper is peeling off of the walls, you are responsible for throwing your garbage in the dumpsters in the back of the parking lot or taking it down the stairs and putting it in the outdoor trash can because the housekeepers don’t come up to grab it, they allow dogs but no one picks up the dog poop, they don’t offer breakfast, broken glass stayed on the sidewalk for about 4 days, the water coming out of the faucets smell like bleach, mold in the bathroom, room smelled like smoke, the room I was in had two microwaves because the one that was built in over the oven had a broken handle so they took up what little counter space there is by putting an additional tiny microwave in there with a plate that was far too big in it so it didn’t rotate, the oven was literally from the 1980s. Tons and tons of updates needed, lots of deferred maintenance, heard people complaining about leaks in their room, broken fencing, dirty rooms, dirty grounds, and the guests are pretty sketchy.

The photos are very misleading and do not represent the rooms. The Suites are very old. The furniture is scratched and old. The mirrored clothes closets do not open or close on the tracks. Nowhere to leave an open suitcase other then the bed.
The Kitchens have old appliances from the 70's/80's other than the newer microwave. The photos show all stainless steel appliances, however, the refrigerator and stove are 30 years old. The bathrooms are very old and patched up. Towels are cheap and thin. Bathrooms have not been renovated in 30 years.
This is a long term stay property and it appears they rent out the suites on a monthly stay, so regrettably much of the clientele appear to be subsidized housing.
The Breakfast is a joke. One pan with potatoes on one side and hard boiled eggs on the other side, some bread, some cereal. Coffee cups are small with large lids that don't fit. No one seems to really care.
This is definitely a 3rd rate operation and not a 3* or 4* property as they advertise. The New Haven Village Suites is in dire need of major renovations. If you are travelling for business, there are much, much better options in New Haven. Regrettably, I was fooled by the nice photos and the misleading reviews.

This place is awful. We purchased through a third party. I take full responsibility for not reading reviews. Please learn from my mistake! We arrived and a staff expressed concern over cleaning a different room, that’s where our concern started. The room itself was in terrible repair, there were burn marks on the floor. Small bugs were flying around. It wreaked of smoke although stated nonsmoking. We heard yelling outside our door, someone pounding on the walls. We felt so uncomfortable we felt best leaving. Because it was through a third party, we spoke to the front desk staff explaining our unease and requested 2 out of 3 nights be refunded. They agreed and said the third party would call to verify and they would confirm. 2 days later we finally received word that the hotel would refund one night. They had lied to us. Please do not go to this shady establishment.

I’ll be honest, when me and my mom read the reviews online we were really scared to be here. However, all other hotels were fully booked, so we ended up with no choice but to be here.

The moment I stepped into the lobby, it was a whole other story. Unlike what the reviews had said this was a whole different story. We were greeted by Carlos, who helped with our luggage and opened the door for us (and would continue to for many days to open the door when I would inevitably forget my keycard).

It was a really cozy “home” feeling. The staff were really friendly (once again especially Carlos), and helpful throughout the entire checking in process, and opening the back door so we wouldn’t have to bear the cold and go the long way.

Though, the breakfast lacks in variety, it’s still enjoyable (so maybe thats one of the few points where other reviews are right).

The rooms aren’t dirty, more then anything they’re quite again homey and cozy. There’s also a nice kitchen inside all of them:

5/5, don’t trust the reviews. Thank you to Carlos for helping our family with our many demands and problems. Our family enjoyed it much more than any 5 star hotel.

Staying at New Haven suite was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. We rented the penthouse with a group of girls (5 ladies per policy no more than 5 people). We were laughing and talking have a good time. When we was asked to leave. I asked why, they reported that we we making too much noise. I remind you, that we were girls laugh and talking. This is so outrageous to me. a guess can not laugh and talk, the whole reason we rent the suite was to be able to enjoy each other company and catch up on old times. If they would of given us a warning, I could understand ( because I know getting a group of ladies to gather we do have a tendency to talk loudly and laugh) but to kick us out. I spoke with the staff they was very rude, I spoke with the manger. He reports he would do a investigation then get back to me. But I still want to make a complaint. The room cost $300 with a $400 deposit. That $700 for less the 4 hours, it seems to meet anything I would of done that night would have cost them to kick me out. Now they reported that they will not give me back my security deposit, they was no damage to the room, we do not smoke,. I paid four hours to stay at the room at least give me back my security deposit. I feel that this happens a lot with guess.

The check-in process was smooth. Service provided at the check-in desk was also very good, and the staff was very friendly. The quality of the suites was excellent, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained. The choice of breakfast available was also very good. The availability of a small store where you can buy essentials is a great value addition, along with the business center which was very helpful when we needed to do some quick printing. Overall great stay.

During my stay there was no evidence of any construction. The mornings and evenings were very quiet, but you should contact the desk to make certain.
