This is probably one of the most delightful stays I had on my roadtrip-vacation in New England in august 2015. We were welcomed by the owner, at the time of our arrival, where we chcked in and we were then told about the history of the house and previous owners, which is very interesting. The big house is beautifully decorated...

Its near Yale and its a very nice room. The owner doesn't like to talk. She sent an email with the door combination, unfortunately, I did read the whole email and she had to answer the door. She did not like that. She said hears a map and Yale's that what and went back to her office.

I very much regret that I seemed unfriendly. Actually I love to talk and sit down with my guests. Had I realized you wanted to talk, I would have been glad to comply. I am sorry you were not able to manage the door combination. Most people love the anonymity of getting settled in their rooms without the interference of...

The house is an elegant Georgian manor, in a lovely neighborhood just a few minutes north of Yale, but away from the downtown hustle & bustle. Rooms are lovely, large, and nicely furnished. Breakfast was great. We have sent loads of people to stay here since our visit. My favorite B&B in New Haven.

We choose this B & B as a focal point for our daughters wedding since we were coming in from out of State. We wanted something quaint and "home like" as the bridesmaids and bride got ready before heading off to the wedding venue. Elizabeth, the inn keeper was very accommodating to all of our requests, offering us use of...

I had a mixed positive/not so positive experiences here. First, let me explain I stay at a lot of B&Bs (about 85-90% of my travel). If this was the first one I ever stayed in, I may have given up. Positives: - since I arrived late, it was nice to have an access code to enter. My key and room...

n arrival, there was nobody around to ask questions. The guesthouse is fine if you have your own transport, but is otherwise a couple of miles out of town. There is no indication on arrival about where the nearest shops are (there's a guest kitchen, so on arrival I assumed I would be able to access fresh milk, etc.) Had...

Located conveniently to Yale campus and downtown New Haven. Breakfasts had a variety of foods and were very tasty. Our room was very comfortable. The Innkeeper was a great hostess and most helpful with the various questions about directions, restaurants, sites to visit, etc. Overall we are very glad we stayed there and will definitely come back.

This B&B offers easy access to Yale and downtown New Haven, and it is quiet, comfortable, and clean. It attracts people working on short-term stays at Yale, as well as parents of students or prospective students, so the clients are from all over the world, fascinating, and quiet. It's a super place to work and stay. I've spent a month...

What a thrilling experience to walk in such a grand mansion of yesteryear and be treated with such royalty. The breakfast food is delicious and fun to meet and socialize with other travelers around the dining table. A smaller dining table is also supplied for those guests that are more private and don't wish to converse with other guests. The...

“3rd floor has several sleeping accommodations with private and shared bathrooms. Excellent for a family. 2nd floor has a guest kitchen for all guests to use, also good family accommodations on this floor. Big wide front hall on first floor with wide, beautiful stairway to 2nd floor. I stayed in Whitman Room (2nd floor) which has private bath outside the bedroom. Bedroom light switch is outside door. Stayed New Year's Eve 2015 - cold outside, but plenty of warmth inside throughout house. I have yet to try shared bath accommodations, but viewed all available rooms at owner's request; all are clean, warm in winter and inviting. Most rooms have good natural light.”
