The Austin St. Inn is a stunning Greek Revival, 6-bedroom B&B tucked in the heart of Historic Westville Village, home of New Haven's booming art and fashion district and best brunch spots. The Inn is conveniently located 1.5 miles from the heart of Downtown New Haven and 5-10 minutes away from Yale University, University of New Haven, and Southern Connecticut State University. The lovingly restored house, known as the Miles and Elezar Hotchkiss house, was built in 1820 by one of Westville's founding families. The Inn has 4 bedrooms with private baths in the main house and a 2-bedroom suite with a private entrance, 1 bath, and kitchenette. The house is furnished with lovely antiques, handmade beds, luxury linens, and original art by some of Connecticut's finest artists.

Probably the most cosy hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in many if them. Only 4 rooms and a really good motion in the house. You feel almost that you are home and that is the best feeling you can have when you travel.

I recently stayed at the Austin Street Inn for three consecutive nights. I am very well pleased with my stay there! The host and hostess are very kind and accommodating people. They went out of their way to meet my dietary and other needs. The inn is very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this B & B. 5 stars from me!!

I stayed for a weekend in the spring of 2019. The house was spotless and charming, the host very engaging and helpful. What was described as a continental breakfast was quite bountiful--great coffee, croissants, yogurt, and fresh fruit. I will stay again in a few weeks and probably every time I go to New Haven.

We stated two nights while attending a wedding reception for friends. The house is cosy and welcoming. The hosts are accomodating and the location is both quiet and close to everything. Other friends joined us for the second night and also found the inn to be a great place to stay. The breakfast is continental and more than adequate. All in all, a great place to stay and a nice get away from the usual hotel chains.

My husband and I have stayed at the Austin St Inn several times while visiting family in New Haven. The house is beautifully restored, and the owner and caretakers are gracious, warm, friendly places. Breakfast is simple, but always had good options, and it's delicious! In addition to being close to New Haven, I really enjoy the proximity to West Rock, which is a great park with lots of running and walking trails and beautiful views of the city.
