Room has well designed closets and cupboards for easy accessible storage. No need to live out of the suitcase. Although we did not plan to prepare food it was helpful to have a stove top, microwave, refrigerator, dishes coffee maker, etc. Bed was wonderful and climate control worked well.Bathroom well designed and spacious. One suggestion for improvement: the toilet could be higher. Not a problem for us at the moment though.
Clean, helpful staff, well located, morning coffee service quite special. Two hundred character requirement for review excessive. I wanted to give a good review but didn't like that this box had to be 200 characters minimum.
Just stayed here for the 2nd time, the first having been 3 years ago when it first opened. It was as lovely as I remember. Boutique hotel with a great lobby, and the rooms are fantastic. Spacious, luxurious amenities, and a kitchen area that is practically as good as a full kitchen and stocked with some useful items. Gym is fantastic, better than many hotels 5x larger. Staff is so friendly, gave me late checkout no problem and delivered coffee right on time to my room in the morning. Only small complaint is the air conditioner in our room was quite noisy and erratically so.. .we had to wear ear plugs as a result. but still give this place 5 stars!
The Blake is comfortable and stylish, and the staff is fabulous. Easily the best place I’ve stayed in New Haven. I was there for a reunion, and we all made it our home base for getting together after the events. I will definitely stay again.
Our entire experience at The Blake was outstanding -- start to finish. The valet was helpful and courteous, check-in was seamless, the common areas were beautiful and well-appointed, and the room itself could not have been nicer or cleaner. The full kitchen is a great touch, and the views of the Yale campus from our 5th floor room were beautiful. Air conditioning worked perfectly and the complementary coffee delivered to the room each morning (at a time of your choosing!) is such a nice touch. Every single person on staff who we encountered was a pleasure. I can't recommend The Blake highly enough for a trip to New Haven.
Such a pleasure to stay at this location. The furnishings were amazingly chic and comfy. The location could not have been better. The layout of the rooms was generous. The staff at the front desk was genuinely and incredibly kind and sweet. Having traveled quite a bit internationally and locally this would be one of my top two . Well done to the staff and management.
The Blake Hotel New Haven is magnificent. The interactions with the staff were excellent -- all very professional, friendly, and helpful. The location is right in the middle of downtown New Haven's entertainment district. I found the decor to be very pleasing and the furnishings of the room very comfortable.
The hotel was clean, the staff were cheerful, and the coffee service was an added bonus. Could not have been more happy with my stay here. The hotel is modern and has a European feel to it. The restaurant is convenient and has a really nice patio area.
I stayed in New Haven for a recent reunion and am so glad that I chose the Blake. I absolutely loved my hotel room due to the presence of a comfy couch and the kitchenette. The bathroom was beautiful. The rooms have a clean, unadorned and modern perhaps Scandinavian aesthetic. I truly enjoy spending time in my room between events. The location is great: between Yale College and the medical school. There was a reunion event at the rooftop bar of the hotel that was very fun. The bartenders were top notch and provided great service. Definitely would return.
Enjoyed a 4-night stay at The Blake. Lobby and rooms are very accommodating and comfortable. Didn't hear much from the other rooms. Perfectly situated with closeness to Yale and nice restaurants/shopping area. Highly reccommended.
