I was married here and the hotel owner singlehandedly ruined what was supposed to be the best day of my life. He charged my family and I over $50,000 for services that he did not provide. The made subsequent charges to my credit card over...More

Perhaps one of the best experiences my family and I have had on vacation. An old shipbuilders home converted into 8 rooms and suites within two blocks of Main St in Mystic. Brian and his staff are attentive to your every need. We were fortunate...More

We attended my nephews wedding rehearsal at Spicer Mansion on the evening of August 25th and were impressed with the service and ambiance but the food was unimpressive to say the least. The first course was lobster bisque which was slightly warm and minimal flavor....More

They're incredibly helpful, so I'm sure just calling the mansion itself would be the best idea!

Hi I wrote about the three course tasting brunch in late november.. It was absolutely fabulous. On the par with French restuarants. Then I went back in Dec with friends because I told everyone I knew about Spicer Mansion and their fabulous Brunch! When we arrived in December we were told that they no longer offered the three course tasting brunch ,but were offering an ala carte menu instead because their staying guests preferred a traditional Brunch menu. Well, we were there and it was alright but nothing one could not get at Ocean House in Watch Hill Rhode Island . The staff were wonderful as always and the christmas decorations were done very well I wrote on Trip advisor telling people that the menu had changed in a month time span. I didn't want people reading my wonderful review based on my November experience and go there and find there had been significant changes. I did recommend their dinner menu ,with a six coarse tasting menu to die for!. When I received my notice that my review had been accepted I didn't look foward on the Spicer Mansion site Until today! I saw an altered combination of the best of the two reviews Only stating their standard brunch menu, nothing about the former three course offering. This was dated a few weeks ago meaning December , no November review on their trip review site. I have been reviewing hotels, resturants and places of interest for many years and these places are all over the world. I have never experienced anything like this before. I have used Trip advisor for my own informed travels and now know they can be influenced and change reviews,SAD

No dinner is extra. They do have a nice car (BMW) they will let you use. Also bikes for your pleasure. And in your room they have iPods for your use.
