My sister and I have been staying here since it opened and come once or twice a year. It is the type of place that makes you feel like one of the family. The house is so cozy, if you go in the Summer you will have a wonderful 3 course breakfast outside on the gazebo and enjoy a beautiful... More

The Mermaid Inn was a great bed and breakfast with nice decor and friendly hosts. The breakfast each day was more than excellent- we didn't have to eat lunch either day because breakfast was so big! It was also great that we could not only choose options for breakfast, but also that we could choose the time we wanted it... More

We were in town for a concert and could not have been more pleased to stay at the Mermaid Inn. The rooms were beautifully painted & decorated. We felt so comfortable. Everything was amazing from the fresh baked cookies on the table when we came in to the 3 course breakfast! The inn keepers here have done exactly what travelers... More

We were hesitant about staying in a B&B for a business meeting. It turned out to be the best meeting we have ever had. Environment encourages creativity and team building. Besides the good food and comfort, internet access large rooms to meet in and great downtown location. Some team members walked downtown and sat on the dock for their brainstroming... More

This is a charming, friendly, positively LOVELY B&B ideally located near all the Mystic sites. Fluffy pillows, comfortable beds, private baths & beautfully appointed rooms with wonderfully indulgent extras such as flat screen tv, fluffy robes, a mini-fridge with beverages, chocolates & Courvoisier. A welcoming, relaxing environment with cookies, tea coffee, beverages and wonderful hosts. And wow can they cook!... More

Excellent service. The team clearly prides themselves in ensuring their guests are well fed and taken care of. The breakfast is multiple fabulous courses: baked apple compote, flakey pear pastry, granola and flax seed with homemade yogurt, a broccoli egg white omelet and the best bacon in CT! Warm cookies upon arrival and quiet rooms considering they were very close... More

Josephine runs the most wonderful B&B! I found the Blue Room pleasing and comfortable, and felt right at home both upstairs and down. (Josephine will converse if you want to, but not if you'd rather not.) Best, best, best of all, Josephine's breakfasts are simply amazing--from the fresh-squeezed juice to the challah French toast, pear tart, and perhaps the best... More

I had read all the reviews for this Inn so had high expectations and was not disappointed. The breakfasts each morning were terrific. Thick European style yogurt with homemade granola each morning as well as fresh squeeezed juice followed by a hot meal that varied each morning eg crustless lobster quiche, waffles, cheese and mushroom omelet. All of the other... More

We were not sure what to make of the Mermaid on our arrival but as soon as we entered and saw the amazing selection of goodies, teas, coffees, etc. we were more than happy! We had a great room and met some good people. Josephine is a wonderful hostess and made us feel right at home. We bumped into her... More

We had an exceptionally delightful weekend. Everything was just beautiful. The breakfasts were exceptional; 3 course breakfasts that were served to you. Handmade pies, pastries, cookies, snacks, coffee and tea available day or night. In walking distance of everything Mystic has to offer. Here, you will get the most bang for your buck and warmth for your heart.
