Josephine is a gracious host and this B&B is top notch as well as conveniently located so you can walk to the Seaport Museum as well as the restaurants and shops on the waterfront. Highly recommended.

My husband and I decided to go to Mystic for our anniversary. We chose the Mermaid Inn because of its location (we were able to walk everywhere). The Inn is a beautiful old home with just four rooms. We stayed in the Blue Room. Everything was so clean and new. It was also surprisingly quiet in the house even though it was full. We slept so well (we were very tired from walking so much). We had a beautiful breakfast in the mornings. The owner asks you to choose what you want from the breakfast menu and what time you want it and she will cook it for you and serve it fresh. It was so nice to start the day with a really good breakfast. I will recommend this inn to friends and family looking for an easy weekend getaway. I also recommend Mystic. It is so easy to get around - lots of shopping, pubs and restaurants to choose from. The seaport was great too. I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed for two nights and it was wonderful!! Our hostess (owner) was very pleasant and welcoming. The breakfast meal was very delicious with multiple options. The home is an historical home with all the perfect updates to feel comfortable. We appreciate the social distancing and mask wearing by everyone. The best of all the home is only a few blocks to the river front shops and restaurants. We are planning to return next month for another adventure and wild stay at Mermaid Inn. Make time to go to Mystic Seaport Aquarium- it is marvelous and also social distancing is practiced there.

We booked for 2 nights. Josephine is absolutely delightful. She cooked a beautiful breakfast the 2 mornings we were there. The house is big and the rooms are quaint, a nice size and very clean. Each room has their own bathroom. Best part is you are walking distance to the town. PS I would bring my own pillow next time.😉.

This small B & B is outstanding - especially now with the challenges of the pandemic. I was looking for a smaller place & this little gem has only four rooms - so I knew there wouldn't be too much traffic in and around the property. The innkeeper has everything well planned and explained as to health & safety precautions being taken -- and I felt completely comfortable with those the entire time. I was hosting a small birthday party with a few relatives stopping by & owner Josephine was completely accommodating to my plans. We used the lovely wrap around porch with attached gazebo -- just a beautiful old-fashioned setting for relaxing & visiting. The house is fun to explore, with all the little whimsical touches - plus there were home made cookies, locally sourced breakfast choices, and a host that makes one feel comfortable from first email contact throughout the entire stay. Mermaid Inn really takes the B&B experience up a notch.
