Had a great time. Really nice and relaxed. Josephine was really accommodating with us, she even sorted some laundry for us. The inn was close to town and easy to get everywhere. It was pretty quiet too!

I have wanted to visit Mystic for a long time and the town did not disappoint. The Mermaid Inn was the perfect place to stay. An easy walk to the Mystic River Drawbridge and water front shops and restaurants. Josephine is wonderful, helpful and pleasant. And breakfast was amazing. Sitting on the one of lovely rockers or chairs on the front porch was super pleasant. If you are going to Mystic, consider this a great place to stay.

This is by far one of the nicest B&B's my husband and I have stayed in. Josephine was very accommodating and a wonderful Host! The homemade cookies and popcorn were an added treat. The location is superb with walking distance to downtown Mystic with great shops and restaurants. This B&B will not disappoint the finicky traveler :)

What an amazing place to stay. We were made to feel so welcome and the service was incredible. Having arrived by train we got to the Inn early but this didn’t cause any problems. I can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be coming back. My favourite part was sitting on the porch in the morning and reading my book, enjoying the weather.

Beautiful period inn. Comfortable rooms and well appointed. Smallish as expected as is an old house. Breakfast delicious and served in outdoor gazebo on beautiful grounds. Very accommodating innkeepers. Located short 10’ walk to main town area. Good restaurants nearby. S&P and AJs recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at this very charming inn and the owner Josephine was absolutely delightful. She had popcorn and cookies out for her guests and made our weekend very enjoyable. We would highly recommend the Mermaid Inn!

We had a wonderful time during our two nights at the Mermaid Inn. We arrived for (an extremely accommodating) early check-in and were immediately welcomed by our host, Josephine. She showed us around and then had us choose which homemade options we would like for breakfast the next day. She had also set aside bags of popcorn and homemade cookies in addition to a newspaper. Josephine was quite accommodating of my numerous food allergies. The atmosphere was peaceful, whimsical, and relaxing, just what we needed. Best of all, it was situated within easy walking distance of downtown Mystic, the fabulous Mystic Seaport Museum, and just a bit farther away, the aquarium and historical town. We were so glad to have chosen this B&B instead of a chain hotel.

Our experience at the Mermaid Inn of Mystic was fantastic! We arrived in the evening and had a no-contact key pickup along with dropping our bags off in the room, and wrote down what we would enjoy for breakfast for the next day based on a menu provided in the main room. We weren't sure how the experience of the B&B would go at first but we're glad we trusted the reviews saying those running the inn are phenomenal! All the food was great and we even ate outside on the porch patio where the people were lovely and warm to interact with. The Blue Room was cozy and well kept and the connected bathroom was very clean and nice. The home location was perfect for access to mystic restaurants, tourist spots, and walking in general. And there were even very tasty home-baked cookies waiting for us at the inn. We will definitely think of returning soon! And. Big thank you to the owners and maintainers of the Mermaid Inn at Mystic!

After serious covid lockdown fatigue, it was time for a safe space to have a girlfriend's weekend. We nailed it with this place. First, the hosts Josephine and Jane, are OUTSTANDING and know how to work this B&B thing. We arrived to a plate of fresh-baked oatmeal raisin cookies and a welcoming note. The property is outstanding: comfortable and cozy with lots of space to spread out. There is even a piano in the living room (if only one of us could play!). Breakfast selections were the next order of business (see pics). We lounged on the wrap-around porch and in the gazebo and at the fire pit and at the gas grill. When Josephine heard we planned on a movie late, she surprised us with an oversized bowl of popcorn! Everything was immaculate and we knew before we left that another trip was warranted so we booked a long weekend for the next month. This is our go-to place from this point forward. We loved that our hosts left us restaurant and entertainment hints. There were lots of books around for us to thumb through and event a "Take A Book" shelf. We took a book and left 3.

We spent two nights at the Mermaid Inn and absolutely loved it. To begin, it is very clean and welcoming. The host prepared a delicious breakfast each day with homemade specialties. The quiet location is great too and it allowed us to walk three short blocks to the downtown area and great restaurants very easily. It’s also walking distance to the Seaport Museum. We are looking forward to returning.
