This little B&B is a hidden Jewel. The house itself is a beautiful building with a wrap around porch, well maintained gardens and interior. The inside reminded me of visiting grandmas house with the beautiful woodwork and antiques. The breakfast was superb, with a great selection available, the evening goodies(pie, cookies, sherry etc) was the icing on this wonderful B&B.... More

This was our first visit to the Mermaid Inn, but definitely, not our last. Everything from start to finish was amazing. The entire place was very clean. Our room, The Blue Room, was private, comfortable and clean. (The bed was a little sunk in, in the middle but other than that, very comfortable) My boyfriend and I like to sleep... More

The location was walking distance to the Mystic Seaport which was a very cool place to spend 3-4 hours. Also very close to the town where you have lots of shopping and places to eat. The Mermaid Inn was a very nice place and Josephine was very nice as well. My wife and I spent the weekend and our room... More

When I arrived I was taken back by this amazing B&B. I have stayed a several B&B's and have never had an experience like this one. My husband and I were greeted by Josephine a incredibly friendly host who gave us our privacy but at the same time was there for all of our needs. The room was incredibly clean... More

As I pulled up into the Mermaid Inn I instantly felt delighted! The wrap around porches and grand gazebo were very welcoming and relaxing. Upon entering the Mermaid Inn I could smell fresh apple pie baking and there were these amazing homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookies!! It's wonderfully located in town and I was able to sight see, go dining,... More

We have been to Mermaid Inn twice and each visit was lovely. Our son lives and works in Mystic. The house is convenient to the water front and walking distance to the main part of town and the Seaport. Josephine makes a lovely breakfast with many delicious options to chose from. There is always coffee and tea available and she... More

Our friends come here every year and now so will we. This Bed and Breakfast is a big, old-fashioned house with a gazebo overlooking the flower gardens. We sat on the gazebo and had a leisurely breakfast: I had delicious French toast, homemade yogurt, homemade granola and perfectly-cooked bacon. My husband got something else and declared it to be "the... More

I have travelled to several B&Bs and my husband and I have enjoyed experiencing various B&Bs in our travels. In comparison to the others, I have to admit I was disappointed. I don't drink alcohol, but I suppose if I did, I would rate this with 5 stars as they keep a free supply of cognac for the guests, and... More

We decided to go yo Mystic for a quick getaway and booked one night at the Mermaid Inn. The location was within walking distance to the little downtown area and the Seaport Museum. The room was very comfortable and spotless. My husband couldn't get enough of the chocolate chip cookies that were left out for us to snack on and... More
