My children - daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons occupied a suite that was grandiose, pleasant, quiet, well-appointed and terrific. Everything to write home about, including several restrooms and capacious, comfy sleeping quarters. A lovely, lounge-easy living room beside. I occupied separate quarters with more space than I had imagined and slept like a log with a fire log to express...

This is a safe, clean and reasonable place to stay. Located on a busy street, you are close to many local attractions but need a car to get to them. The downtown shops, for example, are a mile or so away. My room was fine -- dated in spots but clean. Room came with continental breakfast -- toast, bagel, pastry,...

We were very happy to stay at the Taber Inn this week on our way to Maine and we found it to be very comfortable with a spacious clean room and lovely friendly staff and owner. This also includes the owner's mother who was absolutely delightful when we met her at breakfast. The young man who checked us in was...

Southeastern CT around Mystic and Stonington is a special place. What a great find - the Tabor Inn! Many different sizes and locations of rooms. Quiet close to the water and easy walking to Mystic a mile from Stonington.

We had the most wonderful stay at Taber Inne, from check in to check out! The King Sized Bed was extremely comfortable, wonderful fireplace which heated the room beautifully, and a Jacuzzi Tub which was awesome. The complimentary breakfast was perfect, staff was so super friendly, and very helpful! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!!!!

Our room was large, comfortable, well-lit with natural light and homely. The heating and aircon worked very well. Bathroom good. Plenty of space for luggage. Bed large and comfortable. The grounds were very pleasant and the themed white woodwork and decking throughout added to a relaxed feel. The owner was attentive and helpful and appeared at breakfasts to check that everyone...

If you're looking for a hotel with all of today's modern bells and whistles, you won't find that here. But what you will find is a family owned and run property that is perfect for a stay. We wanted to take our young son on a two-night stay and chose Taber Inn. When I called to make a reservation, the...

Property was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Booked a room with a fireplace and got into room and there was no fireplace. They moved us without a problem. Breakfast wasn't impressive but it was free.

So much nicer than the pictures show. Lovely pool, unexpected breakfast, sufficient and varied, lovely to see the owner. Short walk to a local beach, and playground area. Room spacious and clean. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. We walked to the town, took about 15 minutes, so much choice to eat out. Would definitely stay again.

What a charming place to stay has so much charm and is family owned. The matriarch who is in her nineties presides over breakfast. Friendly, inviting and clean. Service is impeccable and beautiful gardens with a gazebo. Some guests ate their breakfast here as the weather was so idyllic. Right on main road but no noise could be heard from...
