We were in the oldest part of the hotel. We loved the slanty floors and uneven woodwork. But with up to date windows, A/C, wifi, cleanliness, and sufficient bathroom. BUT, like Momma Bear, the bed was TOO SOFT. Now we usually can sleep just about anywhere, but in this bed we rolled toward the center all night and felt each... More

We recently had the most wonderful visit to Mystic CT and were fortunate to have stayed at The Whaler's Inn. The location was perfect for us...just facing all of the activity surrounding the town's famous drawbridge. Our room, in the Hoxie House, was elegant and comfortable with a fireplace and huge spa tub. The linens were soft and fragrant, making... More

Nice big clean rooms. Good breakfast. Very nice people and very friendly. This is great town to look around and have a nice visit. Make sure you go to the mystic sea museum. Rooms are all different. For a cozy home feel

What a find, an oasis in a busy village. The staff were very helpful and pleasant which gave the hotel an welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated and include a large comfortable bed and a clean well appointed bathroom. Wifi usage was easy and dependable which was a boon when trying to plan the next days journey.... More

Right next the bridge in the middle of lovely Mystic and just down the road from Mystic Seaport, this hotel is in the ideal location. My room in the Hoxie House annexe was just lovely. The bed was fabulous and hard to leave. The bathroom has a shower/jacuzzi combo with sumptuous towels and bulk toiletries. The room had a work... More

We have been staying here about once a year for 17 years. Stay in the Hoxie House, it's the nicest building there. Beautiful king or queen size beds, gas fireplaces, lovely furnishings, luxury linens and views of the draw bridge and the river. Huge jacuzzi tubs for two. Very clean place and lovely staff. Nice light breakfast in the mornings.... More

My husband and I stayed here on Sept03, 2014. The room was older, but had charm and was very clean. The hotel is in the heart of downtown and we could walk to everything. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel.

We had a room in the ‘Hoxie House’ on the 2nd floor with a window looking towards the drawbridge so you could watch it go up and down. A beautiful historic hotel in the best location in town! The hotel was exceptionally clean, very highly maintained and right next to the historic drawbridge and the beautiful Mystic river.
