An old inn that has been updated with new carpet, paint and furnishings. Still has a slight slope to some of the floors which adds to the character. The staff was very helpful and friendly. No fridge in the room or coffee maker but coffee was available downstairs. Conviently located.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with other travelers. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the renovations. It was very important to us to keep the historic charm (i.e. the sloped floors and tin ceilings) along with updating the rooms to make for a more comfortable guest experience. I do apologize if you did... More

My family (husband and two sons, 11 & 13) stayed here for only one night, but it was perfect. We had a great room (newer and very clean) and the beds were super comfortable. We walked to all the downtown shops and restaurants. I highly recommend the Whaler's Inn and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Whaler's Inn for 4 nights in September 2015 just before Labor Day. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, which was very spacious and comfortable. I haven't seen the older rooms, so can't comment there, but we'd certainly recommend the rooms in Stonington House if they're available (i think we had room #15). The... More

Thank you for your feedback. Since your stay in September 2015 our lobby and breakfast area have both been renovated! Our breakfast now features pastries from local bakery "Sift", which has become quite popular in Mystic. We have also renovated 24 more of our guestrooms, more in the style of the Stonington House. Of course all of these updates only... More

Classic New England port Inn in Mystic CT. The rooms are updated, large and well appointed with updated large bathroom and shower. The room is large and the beds were very comfortable. The Inn is convenient to shopping, restaurants and the port. We walked all around town in the evening and the next day. Would definitely recommend staying here without... More

We spent the evening at the best location in downtown Mystic. Close to shopping and great restaurants. The room had a scenic and beautiful view of the river. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. It gave us a true feeling of New England. Definitely a return visit is a must!!

The Whaler's Inn didn't honor our room reservation that we had booked and paid in advance.so I didn't get to stay at this hotel for the romantic getaway that my husband had planned. We paid in full in advance for a single night stay and the day before we checked in they sent an email saying that the rate had... More

We are so sorry for this misunderstanding. I have read and reread our email to you and am unsure the basis for some of your comments, however we do understand your frustration with our overbooking. Again, please know that we never try to "overbook" and it was an unfortunate error which we apologize for most sincerely. The $100 that you... More

We stayed in one of the premium guest rooms in the main hotel (above the lobby). We had a great view of Main Street and the draw bridge. It's in a great location within walking distance of a bunch of restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff was very friendly and the room was super cute and cozy with a nautical... More

Thank you for your review. It seems that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at the Inn as well as your time in Mystic. I am a little unclear regarding your low "rating" of just one circle.
