I’ve worked in many countries and lived in some beautiful places , but Poland has been my base now for many years and Opole is where i have settled. For me regardless of weather it is winter or summer i love to walk at Tuwara and finish with a snack and a beer in Zacisze.

First impressions fantastic. Decent food (well done the chef!) Everything your kids need. Lovely playground although the pool could do with a shallow end. Spacious rooms. Then bit by bit the cracks appear. Reception/restaurant not open until 7.30 weekdays/8.30 at weekends (we were going on a trip and needed to access the safe for cash!) Room cleaner would ask us if anything needed doing in our room - otherwise she could not be bothered to go in (and when we asked for another dustbin she gave us a black bin liner!) Staff acted like they were forced to work there apart from one waiter who was excellent. No initiative from anyone to give us ideas of what touristic sites we could visit and how to get there. Not even a photocopy of a local map. WiFi rubbish and tv didn’t work. After hours access to the site was by a side gate with no security cameras. It’s just so disappointing - £800 for a week with two meals/day. The hotel has great potential but has no clue how to sell itself or provide top quality service. It felt like we were staying at the in-laws rather than a place that was there to serve us!

Communication in English is extremely disastrous , very bad wi fi signal , as soon as you open the shower , drainage smell comes through the water , we went @ 8.30pm to the restaurant the only thing that they had was salad since the food had to be pre ordered , however no one advised us. Very Poor selection of breakfast and juices tasted mainly of water. Finally when we paid the receptionist didn’t even look at us or talk to us or even asking us if everything was ok. Looking on the bright side , the hotel room is very large & spacious with a breathtaking view of the pool & trees.

Stayed here for a week in July 2012 with about twenty other family members from the uk for a wedding. Great hotel excellent staff that could not do enough for you, food also superb. Highly recommend it to anyone from the uk all of the staff speak good English. The prices of food and drink are all good and the nearby town Opole is great for a night out or two.
