Upon check in I asked for 2 extra towels because there was 3 of us. Was told no, no laundry access. Usually extra linens are kept at the front desk. I get to my room to find 2 towels and 1 washcloth. So i had to chase down the housekeeper in the am for towels wich i never received until i returned from work. All though the housekeeper doesn't speak English she was SUPER FRIENDLY, UNLIKE THE MAN AT THE FRONT DESK.
Is simple to locate just off the interstate. We were in area one night for a bridal shower and wouldn't stay more than one night. As said in different review, are stairs to climb to get to the lobby, but we ended up taking our luggage through the back entrance to avoid them. Lobby staff seemed a bit confused as to whether to take credit card or not as room was prepaid. AC worked well, room, bed and bathroom presented basic but clean. Was quiet enough during night even though we were on the interstate & truck stop side of motel. As also said before, smell of cleaner strong in the hallways and lobby especially in the morning with a VERY simple self serve breakfast. We did not explore any of areas bars or restaurants. Just a place to stay a night.
I do understand its Memorial weekend but the cleanliness of this hotel is very poor. When you walk in it reeks of a lemon scent lysol but that is clearly to cover up the fact that when you pay attention it is actually quite dirty. I stayed here because it was only a mile and a half from my great grandmothers house (which is why I came, she just turned 92) The blanket on the bed had stains that most likely were body fluid facing up, so the housekeeper saw it... and still put it on, then threw a dirty bed cover over top of it so it was out of sight. All the bathroom towels were dirty as well covered in stains from the previous person who washed their make up off. The bathtub was also dirty, it severely needs a magic eraser taken to it. It feels like the tub floor is going to collapse as there is no flat floor surface under it. The AC unit was filthy. It needs to be taken out and pressure washed! Couldnt breath well with all that dust and junk blowing out. The carpet was so filthy that my daughters socks turned black in a matter of minutes walking across the room. Never saw staff members besides the lady at the desk who checked me in. Breakfast was just a waffle, toast or muffin. Coffee and juice available as well. The hotel was quiet... that is the only positive I have to share.…
This was not bad for an Econ Lodge! The bed was comfortable, the room clean, the staff friendly, and no transients hanging around. Watch out though if you are handicapped or have heavy luggage (we did), it's a flight of 14 very steep steps to the front desk, then another fight of 14 to the 3rd floor! the breakfast was a bit sparse but I've seen worse. Overall a good Econolodge.
Stayed during a snowstorm after spending 5 1/2 hours on highway. $107 for the night, checked in at around 12:15pm, left at 6am. Parking lot was not plowed, although Dunkin Donuts in front was being plowed at the time. Not even plowed when I left at 6 in the morning. Dunkin was perfectly clean. Room was about 50 degrees heat was off. Turned up to 74. Very thin blanket, woke at 3am up freezing. Deadbolt didn't line up to door frame to lock room, relied on safety hatch. Mirror over bed, and bed not neatly made (wondered if was ever changed) ...MUST CHARGE BY THE HOUR. Also, room did not appear as really clean judging by the dresser drawer tops...smudges and all advertising literature all crinkled. Double jacuzzi... took shower instead, there were hairs in tub as it was draining, not mine...I have short grey hair not long brown. 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in bathroom, no spare. TV in room, no reception could not find input. How could they charge $107??? Because they could in the middle of a storm. They "Botta Booked Botta Bammed" me. I despise their commercial...always mute or change channel since they are trying to create a catch phrase. Last time I'll ever be BBBB'd...will not stay at any of their motels.…
