Detailed Reviews
I travelled for business and as we all know travelling has become tedious and overwhelming. I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and was greeted by Lisa who was not only helpful but a breath of fresh air . I was escorted to my room housekeeping supervisor Lisa she ensured that I had everything I needed and was comfortable, I made several requests from linen change to batteries for my remote and this lady did everything humanly possible to accommodate me . I am what you would call a difficult guest and not once did she seem annoyed or frustrated . Customer service is of paramount importance to me and Lisa is absolutely Top Tier.

Have been staying in a number of Holiday Inn Express properties lately due to standardized expectations. First, the good....shower was a walk in, nice and roomy. But bathroom was tiny, very tiny. Tried to find sufficient number of wall sockets to iron a shirt whilst charging my iPhone, iPad and wifi...looked high and low, ended up having to squeeze the ironing board by the bathroom for the single outlet.
No breakfast (bag or otherwise) guess due to CT COVID restrictions.
Did get a great recommendation for local pizza delivery.
All in all, needs renovation...dated and not up to expectations.

The staff are pleasant and courteous. The room was okay however under the beds were full of dust and trash. The are bugs at night crawling around the floor. Complimentary breakfast had very limited bacon only on weekends we were told. Bagels were very fresh.

Hi De, Sorry you had some issues with your room. That is definitely not the norm. I am surprised to hear about insects as we have never had those kinds of issues. Bacon is served every other day, we alternate Sausage and Bacon each day, not just weekends. We do hope you stay with us again soon. Joe Appi General Manager &Staff

The room was clean and WiFi was always 100% but that's where the good ends.
Let me start by saying this dump of a hotel had no hot water during our stay. Front desk personnel were not friendly or helpful when questioned and acted annoyed. Apparently 2 out of 3 boilers went down, leaving just one to handle the whole hotel. So from Friday to Sunday we had to take cold showers. We couldn't leave the hotel because all surrounding hotels were booked due to the tropical storm that came through.
Other nitpicks: there was no decaf coffee pot in the cafe. Only regular and one with hot water. Why on earth would they not have a decaf pot? I mean, whaaat?? Are they trying to save money? It's ridiculous. The in-room coffee was ok, but doesn't include a stir stick in the wrapped sugar/creamer/napkin packet. Whaat?
Know that there's a bar nextdoor, that has live music outside on Sat nights. They play until 11:00 and you will hear and feel the singing, thumping and music inside your room if you face their lot.
Again, the room was clean so that was good. We will never stay at this trash can again. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.
Should have stayed at the Hyatt where a family member stayed the same weekend. Like comparing a Pinto with a Lexus.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I was sorry to read how we failed to deliver on providing the most basic customer service during this stay. We have many processes across the board which are designed to ensure our guests are not impacted negatively; I am sorry that you were. I will be reviewing these processes for improvements and will be sharing your feedback as a teachable moment to improve our quality and level of service. This stay was not indicative of the level of service we provide and I look forward to restoring your faith in our property should your travels bring you through the area again.

We found this to be largely clean and quiet with an efficient HVAC system. Check-in was quick and efficient. Beds are good. The large dorm-sized refrigerator, with a small freezer, was a plus. There were some issues in the bathroom – a few hairs, a shower diverter that took some serious effort to move – but none were deal breakers. Breakfast was above average and frequently replenished and the dining room was regularly cleaned. Digital checkout is dandy. This is worth consideration if you’re in the area.

Stayed here for 8 nights last month. I was told upon check-in that room service is now only upon request. That's fine but it should be given when requested, it wasn't.
I was forced to request it everyday because WE NEVER RECEIVED IT! Half way through I spoke with the front desk manager and the housekeeping manager. Both assured me it would be taken care of, it wasn't.
We had overflowing trash cans. Every time we wanted a shower we had to get our own clean towels. Toilet paper ran out and had to get it ourselves as well. The front desk staff was polite but apparently have no control over anything, especially housekeeping.
A couple days before our departure I took my daughters to the pool. I wish I had brought our own towels because by the time we got out, there were no clean towels left in the pool area (there wasn't a lot to start with). Not wanting us to drip all over the hotel I was forced to use a couple towels that were already used. Then another trip to the front desk for clean towels so we could shower off.
The room was ok for the price, nothing special but not bad either, other than the clogged bathroom sink. The service is what brings this review to a 1 star, just abhorrent.

Hi Justin, Sorry for the delay in responding to your last visit with us. Yes, back in July we were not servicing guest rooms on a daily basis due to Covid, I am happy to say we are back on schedule and cleaning rooms daily. Due to the mass shortages and deliveries all over, it has been a painful stake getting our supplies to service our guests like you properly. We do apologize for the problems you experienced and we do hope you try us again very soon. Joe Appi General Manager

Stayed here 2 nights while attending a family event. Conveniently located off I 95, and close enough to where we had to visit. Local bars, eateries and craft breweries are close, too. I would suggest a room on the east side of the hotel, as on the west side there is some noise from the Interstate that can be heard in the room. As a former frequent traveler and an IHG platinum member, I’m disappointed that there are no longer pens and pads available. Nor were there any glasses in the bathrooms. I suppose that is a corporate decision to eliminate what I always considered necessities. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

Room Tip: Stay in a room that doesn’t face the interstate. Road noise can override the AC sometimes.

I stayed at holiday inn in the beginning of august, the rooms were very clean. The house keeping supervisor Lisa was absolutely great! Very kind young lady.. She made sure we had towels, and everything we needed to feel comfortable. She even recommended different restaurants for us to eat and a few shopping areas. Would definitely be coming back!

upon arriving the lobby had a musty smell. my kids were disappointed to learn upon arrival the pool was closed for repairs (not listed on website and no discount was offered) $300 a night for a suite is what we paid. we stayed on 5th floor the hallway was hot and also very musty smelling. the far elevator at end of hall smelled like something decaying in there. the couch was extremely uncomfortable and stiff as a board.. although was a pull out was terribly springy and uncomfortable. oh and a bag of half eaten chips were found under there. chips in the wall paint made for a very unwelcoming sight. the a/c unit was noisy and i thought actually it was raining all night.. turns out just the noisy unit. i could have overlooked that but overall was just terrible experience. the empty beer bottles in the parking lot and overgrown abandoned restaurant also was extremely uninviting. i NEVER leave reviews however felt what we paid was a complete rip off. at least it was only one night. thank god dave and busters was nearby to make up for the disappointment of the pool. I DO however recommend the restaurant “the Plate” that was nearby for an unbelievably wonderful breakfast.

My wife and I stayed here two nights. We were checked in by a wonderful person, Vunique. She upgraded us to a suite as I’m a Platinum member. She also gave us lots of information on nearby restaurants. She got the hotel four stars. Without her this place deserves a three.
We were in room 509 which is large and very comfortable. The shower head and the vent were loose.
I noticed that all floors in this hotel required vacuuming and some mopping. Our room had not been cleaned behind the curtains and other hidden areas. The hallway carpet was dirty. The breakfast area floor needs to be vacuumed and moped. The weight room floor also needs cleaning. Machines need to be fixed.
The parking lot lines need to be repainted. Breakfast was okay but no oranges or bananas.
