So when you enter the front of the hotel you are met not by a person but by a sign that tells you there is no valet parking. There is not a human being to help you with your bags, direct you to the parking or anywhere. So you travel a fair distance to park your car with your bags and come back to the lobby to stand on a long line until they finally give you a room assignment. They do not offer to help with your bags nor do they direct you to your room. The rooms look like a holiday inn from the 80's are in desperate need of a makeover. No housekeeping but the operator told me we could leave our garbage in the hallway if we wanted it taken care of. The hotel, particularly the elevators are dirty and not maintained. There is no security by the entrance to the elevators so anyone can go up to the area with the rooms. So the place is dated, dirty and there is a big lack of management which evidences they do not care about your experience. This is a place to avoid at all costs.

We came for the Dave Chapelle show, which was fantastic… but the venue is not. I was very surprised by how dated and just average everything was. I’ve stayed at Courtyards with more charm. Honestly, I could get past that, but it was so crazy loud. I have stayed at many casinos, and also known to sleep through just about anything. The walls must be made of toilet paper. We could hear partying and noise from every direction. We were on the 28th floor away from elevators. Our view looked down at the pool which looked like just a slab of concrete with no landscaping. It’s just so very lame. I’m not sure how they get a 4 Diamond rating. Furnishings are tired, Holiday Inn type of shampoo and conditioner, etc. Next time we come for a show we will get a car service rather than stay here.

Well, we gambled on a hotel and lost (see what I did there?). I’m not a stranger to losing some money to a casino, but this was next level. It wasn’t just dated and tired, it.was.disgusting; I thank god I was vaccinated and had the forethought to pack Lysol wipes. Add the door behind which lives the fridge falling off its hinge every time you opened it, the chair with unidentifiable stains, the random sticky situation on the back of the bathroom door, the dust, and what appeared to be the worn out dresser from my dorm room circa 1989, and you’ll get the indescribable urge to nope it right out of there too.

We are here at Fox Tower for a competitive dance competition…a reason like this is the ONLY reason we would ever come back!! To say it’s less than customer friendly here would be a major understatement…and I’m not happy to say this. Currently…in spite of Covid restrictions having been lifted…many places are not open…and if they are technically open, it is generally for severely reduced hours. To illustrate…there is nothing open for a quick lunch today…Monday…and in-room dining is only available on weekends (until noon on Monday actually)…you cannot reach the front desk or order towels, etc …the phone just keeps ringing…the rooms are not in good shape…short on linens, furniture badly marred and/or broken…the whole of Fox Tower is just generally dismal right now. We have friends staying in Grand Pequot…the room there, while newer I think, is not in good shape either. Everything is clean enough…period! I cannot fathom why people continue to come up here if they don’t have to…if you do come, remember to bring some food….even if in-room in this tower had been open, the menu is very limited and all pre-packaged.

Not happy that they limited in-room dining menu to the to-go items only. I usually booked the Fox Towers over Grand Pequot and Great Cedar because it's away from every thing. Just 5 months ago they offered a regular menu. Not sure why the change but will not stay here again for that reason while the other two hotels have full menus.
