Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that the rooms were not serviced on Sunday. If you are paying a set rate, the day of the week should not matter.

We stayed 3 nights at Bedrock Lodge in the Inhouse suite. A lovely small house on the waterfront with sea view from every room and a wonderful sunset from the veranda. We intended to stay 1 night but due to the nice cool weather in the blistering summer heat of the northern Cape we stayed longer. The hotel is old...

The accommodation was not what we saw when making the booking. Nobody contacted us to advise that because of the time we were staying there, there would be not places open for food. We had never been there and so it would have been nice to be forewarned.

Such a unique guesthouse, an original building over 100 years old, spotlessly clean and with plenty of room. Location is great, on the beach and close to the museum, which was fascinating. Highly recommended!

The appeal of this accommodation turned a day visit into an overnight stay. I took a suite in the main house whilst a colleague took a room in one of the bungalows; both were excellent. The whole house has a quaint nostalgic charm; my suite had a lounge, kitchen and separate bedroom with a view of the ocean (there was...

We stayed in the Blue House, part of the Bedrock Lodge. It is two bedroom en suite, equipped kitchen and lounge house. The house has been restored and was very comfortable. The house is situated one street from the beach but it. Is not far to walk. As they only have off street parking we were offered to park the...

We were fortunate to find one of the last remaining vacant places for our stay and the ever-helpful Marie booked us into Beach Cottage No 2, a HUGE house, with three bedrooms, large lounge, palatial bathroom and kitchen. Everything we needed was in place, and Maggie was most helpful in showing us where extra heaters, blankets etc were to be...

A wonderful old beach house, very spacious and with a 25 sqm bath room and a real old school kitchen; must have been a captain's house in earlier times. With a gated backyard to park your car in. Everything in good condition and nicely renovated.
